Rebecca Sugar wad both raised and educated on the East Coast. The specific sunbulture of people has been priced out of the Portland Housing market for around half a decade now. That's part of why the riots got so bad during lockdown.

I discovered that after this recording. I was fascinated to find she and Vivziepop grew up in the same area, and attended the same state.

@@songweretson I suspected 'cuz the ocean is very tame and Atlantic looking. Also, the "City" episode was clearly meant to look like Manhatten.

Men are conveneing around fandom for the same reason women convened around social justice in the 2010's. There's a loneliness epidemic and being lonely isn't a good enough reason to hang out with people.

Big problem is to be invested in social media. Humans are evolved for face to face interactions. It is ok to interact on screen on an intellectual level but not on an emotional level. Second is, debate culture, if people do not learn that in school and you can not learn it elsewhere really (you need a lot of people in one place), if one never learned to keep personal feefees out of an debate there is a disaster in process. Historie is another point, you have to learn to look at it without emotional attachment, the people you may root for in historie where by todays standards never "nice" and did things we consider today atrocities without blinking. What i see is a lot of not knowing when to let your personal feelings out of the equation.

4: 49 After the Thieves' World and Aces High shared novels came out, there was a similar series about H e l l. Heaven was so dull, all the historical movers & shakers left and went...down. Caeser & his associates repeating old patterns, pre-sixties movie stars trying to make a new film, power grabbing everywhere. I may have been too young to truly appreciate them as they came out. May try to find them again. (YT accepts one of those places but won't let the other be unchanged. Disappointing.)

I really doubt they’re going to have anything for Charlie. I’m pretty sure she’s the character. That’s always thought she did good instead of evil, despite being raised in hell. That, or maybe longing for her father and mother who weren’t present in her life is the reason why she does what she does.

I was under the impression that the Norse gods were fairly common Germanic gods and "Norse" tends to refer to Scandinavia as a whole not just Norway. Also, during the pagan area the Norse tended to be the colonisers rather than the other way around. However, because they didn't write things down and the surviving records are from the people they colonised this is not how it is remembered. Then again, Christianity did wipe out pretty much the entirety of old Norse religion and it is a bit weird how they are now just free game for everyone. Maybe because there are no actual practitioners from the old days, just revivalists but that is a slippery argument. EDIT: On the other hand, the fact the Norse tended to be the aggressors rather than the ones aggressed upon is why we know relatively much about them since at least the Christians wrote about the scary pagans and their weird histories and they ended up colonising far-of places like Iceland where the oral history survived until it was written down. We know almost nothing about the Non-Scandinavian Germanic religions and even less about the Baltic religions that the Norse pushed away.

Why create new heroes when you can just remake batman over and over again

Think also the reason why people ask about making more characters don't know about the controversy with what happened before because they were too young too notice that. But they are old enough now to see the over compensation
