What an amazing year you have had Alone. I know lots have ideas for you... and I have lots but will share one tip that I found valuable on my block. My suggestion for the year ahead is to get a small wood chipper/mulcher. Nothing improves the soil like whole mulch and as you keep your property neat you can mulch the smaller branches you cut. As for the noise in your chimney... I have a steel framed house with colourbond sheeting on the exterior, including the roof. Every night at about the same time, regardless of the weather, I have one area of the frame that pings. I use to think a bat might be dropping fruit or nuts but not every night!

Congrats on episode 100 and 2 years in the woods. I have been 5 years in the woods now, but not alone, kids still living at home. And, not as far away in the wilderness either. So today I'm going out for lunch with my friends in Oslo, enjoying the fair, Winter Wonderland. I do however envy you lighting the fire now. It's freezing here today, -12c and the fire won't start. I gave up, as I'm leaving soon, so thankful for my electric heater. Will watch the rest of your video later, when I get home, need to chop some kindles. Have a great day.

We have butcher blood in our kitchen I love it the wheat used just to use beeswax in mineral oil, food grade mineral oil. My husband is a cabinet maker cabinet maker so he can put all this in.
