For a decent finish cut a second time with sharp blades, run the PTO at a higher RPM and use a lower gear .

I have a YM1500 just like that. My wife wouldn't let me buy a front end loader for it, so I built one. It's amazing how well that little two wheel drive can handle a loader. I also use it for both finish mowing and brush hogging. The only other modification I've made to it was adding a water pump. I relocated the alternator to the side and put the water pump where the alternator was. I just never trusted that thermosyphon system, especially when I was mowing or brush hogging on really hot summer days.

Good to see you have an over running clutch! It's loose on there cause it's just pinned onto the shaft with a roll pin.

Just use a grade 2 bolt in the place of that pin on the drive shaft. Use a low grade, in case it needs to sheer. A whole lot cheaper

The nozel is bigger cause it pumps more so you can fill up transfer tanks and tractors. Dyed diesel fuel is no different than regular diesel these days except for the dye, that's the only difference. 20 years ago there was a difference but not in the last 10 years or so.

Jonathan :) yes desiel remember on farm I grew on it Purple color color for tractors my dad had also only problem with had do once a month of Automatic transmission type to fuel so lube up fuel pump plus injectors to run clean plus wouldn't plugged up 2 fuel filters and plugged up fuel systems or lines ! Plus tank pump nozzle had to tank cap when pump in fuel tank of tractor was lots fun and but fuel burn very nicely for fuel mileage to on International Detroit motors to! But that fuel gerri can you have in Ontario and Canada is 25 litres also cost for gas fill up is $45.00 or Desiel is $35.00 horrible prices !

You are putting heating oil in that tractor. You can tell by the red dye that is in it. Heating oil and Diesel are the same except heating oil is cheaper in cost reason for the red dye. It is Illegal to be using heating oil in place of diesel.
