The latter part. Ban them from where they were cutting the corner for example. 😌 He's done a lot of work on the speeds to make them more realistic in built up areas and turns so there's not alot of movement with them to help routing.

I think it would make sense to include some duplexes by the railyard since that industry really needs workers near by. Then I would branch it off so there are a couple streets that go up into the hills with a few houses. Maybe, include a roundhouse and turntable for the trains. That would look neat. Always a pleasure whatever you build tho. You'll definitely need more rubbish collection.

That hillside behind the cargo terminal would be great for some low-mid quality housing, I'm talking old state houses or homes built in the 30s-40s that are showing their age, backed onto that with some dense forest up until the windfarm. Areas in Wellington would serve as a good example; Khandallah, Ngaio, Brooklyn, Karori, Hataitai, Kilbirnie, maybe not so much Mirimar because that's more mid-high quality. Definitely more Kilbirnie/Lyall Bay than anything, those suburbs sit alongside Wellington Airport.
@ghostangel8282 жыл бұрын
Yes, that kind of rougher neighborhood would look great next to railways and a very industrial park. Kind of like where the old workers would have been living in the 20's. Back in the days downtown -ish was always where they lived to be near industry as the downtown area was not desirable to the wealthier class like it is today.

The area with the unknown industry, I’ve recently built a small fishing town in that area, which also has a ferry to the large island. In NSW, there are sections of track just for freight, some just for passenger and some mixed use. I think you can definitely play around a bit with separating the passenger and freight in certain parts of the map. Frieght might take a more direct, less scenic route to Paterson, but overlap coming into town. A good example is in Western Sydney where commuter trains run on the T1 and T3 lines, and there is a freight line that runs through the industrial areas of Enfield and Chullora (roughly between Homebush and Punchbowl on the communter lines) which links directly to Port Botany without joining commuter lines again. There are some great maps online, including Transport for NSW ones. I imagine having freight rail swing around the coast through Port Taranaki before heading inland to Paterson makes more sense than sharing the passenger line by the dam.

Hey there, two dollars, LOVE your channel, thank you so much for all of your videos. I know you said you weren't planing any european style builds in the near future, BUT if've just been on holiday in Italy and found a place that I would love to see in one of your builds. The area is called "Cinque Terre" in northwestern Italy. Five litte, beautiful villages on a steep mountainside right next to the sea, connected mainly through a trainline going through tunnels, a bikelane going through the old train tunnels on the beachside, and many walking paths through the vineyards and forests in the mountains between the villages. Some small curvy roads connect the villages, but are mostly reserved for service vehicles. And of course, the villages are connected up via a ferry system. You can obviously find a lot of tourism there, combined with some agriculture (many vineyards). - Beautiful landscape -Beautiful, colourful villages -Litte Beaches and tiny fishing harbours -Very interesting infrastructure (train connection - one line, going through tunnels from north to south, connecting up to two bigger citys in both directions, ferry system, small curvy mountain roads, cycling tunnel between the villages, walking paths) - be shure to also check out the villages Levanto and Bonassola north of the area, the old train bridges there have been reused for parking and cycling. IF you should decide to do a european style build in the future, please check out Cinque Terre. Not shure if it's enough for a whole map, but definitly perfect for a part of an italian/ european based project! Here's a few pictures of the area: trekkinglife.it/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Cinque-Vernazza-37.jpg external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.pinimg.com%2Foriginals%2Fd2%2Fc2%2F48%2Fd2c2486db41ec7416cfcd2444a3a2b03.jpg&f=1&nofb=1 c7.alamy.com/comp/G1ME4G/cinque-terre-train-riomaggiore-italy-G1ME4G.jpg c7.alamy.com/compfr/d19wbn/italie-cinque-terre-manarola-chemin-de-fer-train-mer-vernazza-vignes-cliff-d19wbn.jpg Again, thanks so much for your videos, love watching them!
