Man these look so much better in Springwood than they do in the Asset Editor! They'll be on the workshop as soon as I can wrestle Vehicle Effects onto them, which will probably be at the end of this month after I get back from traveling!

Hey, not sure if you will see this but this bloke uploaded a Peterbilt 362 truck prop on the workshop. It will fit the 80s vibe nicely. I think you've mentioned not having truck props that fit the 80s style before, but I might be mistaken.

Awesome Amtrak cars! :D The history of Amtrak is definitely one of both disappointment and "making the best from a poorly dealt hand". These types of trains (long-distance, etc) are still seen in LA today, with three long distance routes emanating from Union Station :) and those "trashcan" cars are Amfleet cars, usually used out East, but they were definitely used "ad-hoc" before the turn of the century. Overall, awesome models and a great addition to Springwood City ^_^

Great video, very cool seeing the classic Amtrak trains. Grow up riding them. the Capital Corridor, Limited, Empire Builder and the City of New Orleans routes, to name a few.

Bsquiklehausen, hope you read this... you were talking about old trains, here in Canada we are STILL using budd passenger cars from the 50s and 60s on main train routes. It's pretty insane, you should look it up.

Those are some fantastic cars! I hope to make the Canadian/Canadien consist one day - just need to finish up the fleet of Budds.

Looks awesome as a train guy who actually is does Run8 in the LA area right now on a hosted server. One thing is cars in the U.S. run on the right side of the road unlike UK. I remember playing CS before and thought I had traffic on the right hand side. The mods look really cool and so does the trains.

I do not think that it is prototypical to have an engine on each end of a passenger train. usually what they have is a normal looking coach with a small section on the end where the driver can see out the back. it's called a cab and it's usually used when a train has to drive backwards
@bsquiklehausen6 жыл бұрын
Rony McJony The real train I based the Intercity off of was the San Diegan, which did have the cab car like you said. I didn't have a model of the cab car, so I used a second locomotive. Imagine the cab car is out of service. Amtrak did do something like this last summer when sending Empire Service trains to Grand Central.

What? The CSX formally started operations in the summer of 1986, and the BNSF didn't even exist as a holding company until 1995, and the two railroads started operating as the BNSF on the last day of 1996.
