This is so good to know and learn. I haven't seen any other channel explaining this as thoroughly as you do, TGT. I know what I'm going to be practicing next range day....

That is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me.... well wrote to me! LOL Thanks Tone Seeker. I appreciate you. I just returned from the US Steel Nationals and was able to record a couple of videos while training with Jesse Grant. Thanks for subscribing. More to come. Enjoy, Terry

I’ve figured out how to break the course into sections and use smaller (less expensive) plates to practice it at home. We don’t shoot outer limits at my local club, and the next nearest rotates it in and out month to month. It took some planning and ingenuity to get something with every section and every skill in place. I will also set up at full scale and dryfire the course exactly as it looks in competition. That’s enormously helpful. I bring it up because there are sometimes limitations because of its size. Don’t let that stop you from being well versed and comfy folks. As always thanks 2GT! Without the tips and tricks I’d still be intimidated by Outer Limits.

I am so glad to hear the video was helpful. Sometimes I wonder if Im giving away all my secrets that I'll get beat by my viewers. AND IT HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN ONCE!!! Still, I love paying it forward. The more shooters with the bug the better for the sport. I believe that you definitely have the bug! Good for you. Practice Practice Practice. Thanks for watching, Terry

Great advice for this new SC shooter! Thank you! I see you have 2 more on it & will watch them too! I need to practice this method. It looks more stable for the transition. I also caught myself twice last weekend lowering my RFRO while moving. I knew it as I did it. Oof!

You have the most informative videos on steel challenge on the Tube! Thank you for all of your time and effort you put into your videos. You should consider putting together a training video! Your a great teacher Terry! Many of us do not have daily access to a range. Any thoughts on how dry fire? I am currently using some banners purchased off web.

Hi Harvey! Thank you for your kind words. I made a video on dry fire training. I use steel plates in my backyard but it will work just as well with banners. The video is kzbin.info/www/bejne/rWjOaomhpLOLjKM Hope this helps. Enjoy, Terry

Good vid! Nice in depth coverage of why you do what you do which honestly is more important. :) The jello chocolate pie though....i GOTTA try that! You use just plain unflavored jellow mixed with chocolate pudding?

Terry, very helpful hints👍. I am in the market for a RFRO gun and like the adjustability of the Wiland chassis. Inwas looking at the VQ barrel (like yours) and trigger group as well. What receiver would you recommend? Could go all VQ, stainless or Alum? Either I piece together a rifle or maybe just get a VQ Ultralight? I do like the adjustability though and not big on the wood/laminate. Happy holidays and good luck in the match!

The Volquartsen Ultralight is a beautiful rifle. Everyone's tastes are different. My opinion is to buy something that feels like an extension of you. In other words, it fits comfortably. That and reliability are tied for the number one things I look for in any firearm. I build my own competition rifles with high end, off the shelf parts. Volquartsen is my number one choice. I've started acquiring parts to build a new iron sight rifle now. Volquartsen trigger, receiver, bolt, and barrel create the actual important stuff. Once assembled it can drop into any chassis/stock you like. Id go stainless over aluminum for durabilities sake. BTW, I also like Kidd and Im interested in learning more about the Magnum Research Switchbolt. Happy Thanksgiving, Terry

You're not worried about adding a yard to the shot by starting at the back of the box?
@TwoGunTerry2 жыл бұрын
Hi Warren, Thanks for watching my videos! To answer you question...absolutely not!!! Not much difference between 20 yards and 21 yards or 35 yards and 36 yards. Same focus is required for either shot. Try it. You'll be glad you did, Terry

Do the same principles apply to carry optics?
@TwoGunTerry3 ай бұрын
Absolutely! Keep your eyes up and on your sights as you move. You'll be okay. Practice your foot movements. These two keys will help bring your times down. Good luck! Terry
