I had the most frustrating win yesterday. As the GF I was jailed N1, my mafioso attacked the person calling for TP and died to BG, and my consig was found by a Sheriff and claimed they had found the WW even though there wasn't a full moon. Next day town lynched the WW and the Vigi shot the Jester, so by N3 the only evil's left were me and the framer. I somehow managed to fake Sheriff and the framer flew under the radar until there was only us two, the jailor, and two unknowns. Both the framer and one of the unknowns claimed to be a Ret waiting for the Jailor, so that night we killed the Jailor and the BG was brought back. I called out the Ret and mafia and the Framer claimed to have been the one that actually rez'd the BG, causing enough confusion that no one was lynched. I figured the BG wouldn't expect us to attack the Ret so that's what I did, leaving it as 2v2 with an unknown townie. We then attacked the BG, figuring that the worst case scenario was that he vested and we killed him the next night. What we didn't expect was that the unknown was also a BG who killed me! Now it was 1v1, and my mafioso cancelled their attack at the last second because they though BGs killed their attackers when they used a vest. The game said that if no one died that night the game would draw, so my mafioso had to attack and hope the BG had used his vest the night before. Luckily he had and we ended with a win, but my god my heart had been pounding the for a couple minutes straight.

Marsh thats not pure stupid, thats just a misunderstanding of role concepts as doctor self heals it would make sense for someone who doesnt know the game 100% to think BG does the same at home that he does protecting someone else: Dies in self defense. Pure stupid tho is anyone in Shadows games

I just wanna share this super crazy game that I had, so during the first three nights all of the town suicided to vet then the ver left... I executed the mafioso for acting like exe when there was a witch afoot... so the only ones left are gf, consig, and consort, ww and another rt which turned out to be mayor on an even day... mayor lynched the consort while i the Jailor acted like i was nk ww and jailed the mayor for protection... next day the maf attacked who they thought was jailor but actually was the real ww... mayor lynched the consig... the only ones left now are me, mayor, gf, and ww... it was an even night sa ww attacked mayor and i killed gf... the next day ww thought he won but i secretly had one exe left as ajailor.. the next night i jailed the ww and was cocky about his win when i pushed the exe button... you shoulda seen his reaction! what was your crqzy game of tos? would like to hear it! I once had a vigi game where n2 I shot the Janitor. That day, another vigi claimed, so we worked together the whole game and shot evils. My next shot was n3 on the WW, and he was lynched that day. My last shot was on the GF, we lynched him and won with perfect town.

Had such a bad game as mayor today. Sheriff found someone who was framed n1, person never claims a role day 2. They finally claim retri day 3 so we lynch the sheriff thinking they were ne. Turns out they were legit so we lynch the retri claim thinking they're maf. Town ultimately lost, turns out there was also an invest and a spy that could've confirmed the sheriff and retri claim that were silent the entire game. I was so pissed

Any, vip, and lovers seem to be the only games played. Which sucks because ranked isn't bad either and I want badly to experiment more. I think way too many people refuse to buy it. I mean it's such a minor pricetag and coven is pretty cool. I can't justify cosmetic stuff I never see anyways, but coven is a whole other game. I hope they release more role lists in the rotation. Might breathe a bit more life back in to coven.

Take a glance over the wiki to make sure you have a good grasp on roles. As a townie, keep track of what roles have been confirmed(by death or invests or excetra) and watch voting patterns. Evils will be quick to vote anyone that isn't them(except the really good evils might not be keen on voting Nk when the odds are against them) but won't vote other evils. They'll dodge questions, deflect blame, and talk about things outside the game more than anyone else. As evil, never inno on someone who is confirmed evil. If your mafia puts up a crap defense, comment on it and guilty. If it's super early and they are 100% confirmed evil, voting them up is acceptable but otherwise don't put them on the stand. Keep a fake will as best as you can, guessing at roles as you go. Keep track of important people/benign roles. Don't always out the nk, especially if you're losing. Nk's an interesting beast. It's like evil up to 11, since you have to pay extra attention to who might be NE and NB as your only allies. But you can easily kill them on accident, and they lose a lot more from killing either than maf or coven does. Also try and keep a balance. This goes for mafia and even town as well. You want to make it so at any moment it's anyone's game. If mafia starts dying early, aim for townies. If town dies and there's more mafia, kill maf. Either way, if you're outed, appeal to the losing side. You're temporarily on their side. The swing vote who ultimately is out for himself, but can be useful. It's why you never want to vote up a fellow evil if you're both losing, because if you're both outed, jailor has a 50% chance of jailing you and a 50% chance of jailing the other guy. If you're town and lynch nk too quick, the mafia will outvote you. That said, if they're outed early, hang them. As jester, try and guess at evils and throw in your lot. All of the scum reading tips I gave you? Try and do those things. But be subtle about it. Claim susp roles, like doc, lookout, sheriff, spy, medium, or ret. But don't be loud enough when a jailor is around. Exe claim something other than sheriff and be as townie as you can on everything. As witch, just follow evil's lead. For all visiting roles: don't visit day one talkers, especially not to kill. Chances are higher that they are Medusa, vet, transporter, immune, or protected than other players. Avoid the first and the last player on the list as a killer, and any stand out names. You might hit someone being protected by a town protective that way or watched by a lookout. At best, you waste a night as your target's healed. At worst, you get outed or flatout die. Even as investigates it's a good idea to avoid someone who is going to be killed, since it makes your will look suspicious and wastes a night. There's a lot of subtlies, and games never go the same. Even now, I can still play a game that takes me off and I've played over 2k over the last like 5 years.
