I'm actually loving the balance between their comedic videos and the serious ones. The former makes them sooo relatable, it's like they freely (and literally) shower classical music on the streets for everyone to consume regardless of people's status, while the latter, more serious content, gives us a peek to what they've been working on most of their lives. They're inspiring, really.

In a musicians perspective you hear that his double stops are a bit out of tune but it is a really hard piece so he is really good enough. Great job Brett 💖😊🎻🎵
@MsPea4 жыл бұрын
Hillary Hahn's video of The Last Rose of Summer is perfection. While Brett's' double stops were a little out of tune, it was only very slightly. Since he was no doubt learning/practicing all the other excerpts they played in this video, I'll willing to give him a pass if he was slightly off in some. All in all, Eddy and Brett both did a good job of representing concertos through time. Very enjoyable video.

Thank you TSV for the 40 over songs you've played in this video.. Must have put in a lot of practice and preparation for this video. Loved TSV package, 2 violinists (Eddy and Brett) with different strengths, skill level, phrasing etc but as a whole, make a perfect blend. The playing may not be the best but it is great and much appreciated. I have watched and listened to your playing in 2024 and I am glad that you have both improved tremendously together. Most importantly you have not forgotten your goals to make classical music assessible and appreciated by young and old, musicians and non musicians, to make it fun, educational and relevant to all.

i came across your channel a month ago and have been watching your vids ever since, and this is the first time i comment on one! this video in particular brings back a lot of memories of the pieces i played and makes me miss playing violin. czardas was one of my favorite pieces to perform when i was in elementary or middle school. also, i'm loving the "composer commentary". keep doing what you guys are doing!

Maybe they'll inspire you to take up the violin again as they have done for dozens and dozens of others...

You two have inspired a love and respect for classical music, despite my complete ignorance on the subject. I love listening to you both speak with such authority on the topic.

Reasons why I clicked on this video: 1. I love twoset 2. Why not 3. Kaori 4. To pretend that kaori is still alive 5. To cry about kaoris death 6. I play violin 7. KAORI

Interesting story, my father Jon Toth was the first American violinist ever to play Khatchaturian violin concerto in the US conducted by the composer himself with the Honolulu Symphony. Famously, Khatchaturian arrived and was sick, a bad way to start one of the big performances of my fathers career. I believe it went well, a few people still in the orchestra (now in the Hawaii Symphony) still remember the performance. Sadly, although I tried to track it down there doesn't seem to be a recording that survived.
