Not gonna lie, the social stigma around classical music is one of the reasons I stopped singing. I was a classically trained coloratura soprano and outside of my vocal coach everyone else thought I was the cartoon self-absorbed diva just because of my vocal range.
@ViolinValia Жыл бұрын
Never stop being YOU, honey! Looking at the horrendous stupidity and lack of taste in the world, do you really think those people's opinions carry any weight? They are pure reflection of what media brainwashed them to "think". And you singing is a reflection of your SOUL. Now, which one do you think matters more? 😉❤

I'm a soprano, and I say don't quit just because everyone else is being a jerk. There are plenty of people who would *love* to hear you sing with such a range. In fact, before the show even started, they pre recorded all of us making various fake reactions to things. They would say "ok now look surprised" "Okay, now clap". As a person who went to a filming of "Americas got talent" I can say it was the worst thing I've ever experienced. The audience is literally actors. You'll get maybe two acts and then the rest of the day is just filming audience reactions. Literally about 8 hours of nothing happening. Then they try to get the audience to compete for prizes by seeing who can cheer the loudest (for the take obviously). The thing is they'll never give the prize to anyone who actually wanted one (because once they get the prize what would be the incentive for the said audience member). The worst thing is they don't even hire an audience, but trick families into coming believing it was more of a show and less of a TV set filming. They basically force the "actors" to pay to be there. Worst thing ever. Edit: for anyone wondering, I actually found the clip of the showing that I went too. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2XWmmt7l7KAr9U Now it was nowhere near as exciting as it was shown here. It was literally them telling us to make scared faces, then cheer when he hit the ground and that was it. Then the judges went inside and it was literally them having us " compete to see who could cheer the loudest" Some kids were cheering so loud we were losing our voice, including me. Once I even locked eyes with the "DJ" and he shook his head and pointed to the camera (gesturing for me to look) this happened about 3 times before my Dad noticed and he was pissed. He eventually had us get up and leave. He told the DJ off as we left but I don't remember what he said. Ended up going to a buffet to make it up. TL;DR: went to a filming of AGT. Got to see one act, then was bribed too scream on camera. AGT are scum who trick families into being up paid actors for an audience. Edit #2: Forgot to mention it was like 90° F out there, so yeah...around 8 hours in that kind of hear screaming. Edit: #3 damn guys thanks for the support!

@@AA-ok9uw I fucking hated it...fuck them and fuck everything about them. And definitely fuck the guy I charge of getting the crowd to cheer. Literally looked at kids who were cheering so loud that they were turning beat red in the eyes and told them they weren't screaming loud enough to get a prize, just because he knew these kids would keep screaming for the camera if he just dangled a cool toy in front of them.

I got bored with reality TV shows like this one during American Idol. It was the same schtick every episode...I told my friends the reactions were fake and the show is bullshit. You just proved what my 16 year old butt could not so many years ago...AUGHOSIOWIENROIHEPIAURHISEUNIUTHASTUGSD!

I have always hated those """"""reality"""""" TV shows. They have nothing realistic in them, it is incredibly fake. It's like the XVIII th century "naturalism" (I know that now the term is connoted with the XIX th century movement, although it suffers from the same problem, I just think that the one from the XVIII th was more egregious), it is just a vain attempt to captivate audience by giving them the illusion of reality, something that you've created from A to Z. There is nothing real about it, it is just an illusion, an allure

My review as a pianist: 1. His piano is dramatized and obviously has no love for the instrument 2. He wants to put on a good show which is completely understandable, however, the PIANO DIDNT DO ANYTHING FLIPPIN WRONG 3. He most likely doesnt play the paino because if you look up fur elise on youtube, and play the two side by side, they sound the same. I love you two set. Plz make sure pianos lives matters: PLM

I was born into a loving family but then the hospital burned down 5 seconds after I was born and my family died, so I ended up in a corrupt orphanage where I got cancer and When I was 3 I was stolen by kidnappers and taken to Mexico where I worked in a sweatshop, and I was there until I was 7 when I found a guitar one day so I practiced the guitar every day after my 20 hour shift in the sweatshops and I've been doing that for the past 6 years. I finally got enough money to buy my freedom out of the sweatshop where I came here to America's got talent to put my guitar skills out into the world. If just one person is inspired by this my life dream will be complete.
