At 5:41 when you say "that part was kind of hypnotizing," and "trippy," and "you want to hear it again," is considered the "Orgasm" part of the song by many rockers because as you know the lyrics are about going way down inside and whole lotta lovin. So you girls felt it...Awesome!!!

@lyndoncmp57514 жыл бұрын
Nooo. Bad choice. It's not even their song. Just a blues cover.
@padleybonnerproductions20574 жыл бұрын
@@lyndoncmp5751 Well yes they have done their own versions of existing blues songs but they've given them their own unique spin, Plant's vocals are easily some of the highest and the most powerful, his harmonica solo is awesome and the guitar solo combined with Bonham's sick fills is absolutely orgasmic, where you have gaps in his drumming just at the right time, for me it's an absolute masterpiece. So if you want to believe it's 'just a blues cover' then by all means go for it, everyone's taste is different, but if any band was to cover any of these songs I'm glad Zeppelin did. The original title with a lot of or all of the lyrics may not be their own but it is still THEIR version of it. I don't really at all see how it's a 'bad choice' just because it's not 100% original. Not only isn't there a single song on earth that is absolutely 100% original anyway, but just because it isn't completely original that doesn't mean it isn't just as if not miles more explosive. So believe what you want and like whatever you want to like but for me this isn't 'just a blues cover' it's an absolutely epic emotionally charged Led Zeppelin song inspired by a great blues song.
@lyndoncmp57514 жыл бұрын
@@padleybonnerproductions2057 The studio versions of the two Willie Dixon songs they covered on the first album are pretty standard for me. Certainly not mind blowing. The two weakest songs on the first album are the two Willie Dixon Covers. You Shook Me and I Can't Quit You Babe, although the live version of the latter from the Royal Albert Hall in 1970 is fantastic. Now, if you want Led Zeppelin totally reworking old blues songs into almost completely different works of art then When The Levee Breaks and Travelling Riverside Blues are far better choices than You Shook Me. It is not a song that is recommended much as it's not really Zeppelin as Zeppelin. Just saying. Peace. Cheers. Edit. I mean sure they can get to You Shook Me at some point but Id put at least 50 other Zeppelin songs as a must listen to before that.

Led Zeppelin is known for having some of the greatest rock musicians join together in a band. The drummer is considered by many as the greatest drummer in rock history. The bassist is probably one of top 5 bassist in rock, the guitarist is in the top 5 and lead vocalist is in the top 3. The song you listened to is on their 2nd album, Led Zeppelin II, which was released in 1969. That’s probably why it might sound a little trippy to you guys as it was made during the psychedelic rock era. Another song to listen to is “Dazed and Confused”, also from 1969, but from their first album. Try doing a live version as you need to see jimmy page play the cello bow on his guitar. Then, do “since I’ve been loving you” from their 3rd album. Definitely do the live version for this, specifically at their Madison Square Garden show in 1973. Then do “stairway to heaven” from their 4th album from 1971. “No Quarter” and or “the Rain Song” from their Houses of the Holy album from 1973. From their 1975 Physical Graffiti album, do “Kashmir” and “In my time of dying”. Kashmir is probably better doing the studio version, while “in my time of dying”, you really need to do live version from Earl’s Court show from 1975. There’s a lot more to listen to, but with these songs I’ve listed you will get a good understanding of their excellent musicianship.
@jamesaron1967 Жыл бұрын
Robert Plant is frequently voted top rock vocalist as is Bonham top rock drummer of all time. Jimmy Page is considered anywhere in the top three lead guitarists and JPJ in the top 10 bassists, but he's also a multi-instrumentalist which more than compensates for his slightly lower ranking. No other band ever had this much of a concentration of musical talent and probably never will again. With all the computer electronics in pop music these days, musicianship has been relegated to the back seat..

Led Zeppelin is considered by many to be the greatest rock band ever, as influential to the 70's as the Beatles were to the 60's. Other reactors on KZbin get hooked and do dozens of Led Zeppelin songs. The rabbit hole is varied and deep. Their versatility is extraordinary. Most believe their two best songs to be "Stairway to Heaven" and "Kashmir". At their reunion concert in 2007 with their deceased drummer's sons playing drums, tickets were scalped for $30,000 apiece. PS: "Whole Lotta Love" was one of their very early songs and even primitive by comparison to what would follow.

Their most famous song is Stairway to Heaven and while it is overplayed to most of us long time fans, it's probably the next song you should react to as it's epic. My favorites are Ten Years Gone and Achilles Last Stand but there are many choices. Good Times Bad Times, Dazed and Confused, Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, Over the Hills and Far Away and just so many more.
