Some stuff still sounds good though, Adele is sounding good for what she does, not really my jam, but I can acknowledge the work and effort she does. The main problem I think with today’s music is the samey drum patterns and vocal styles of mainstream pop, no one is willing to experiment or show their true creative grit, just so they don’t piss of music executives or advertising people. We need someone in the mainstream to go against the grain and produce something more raw different but that appeals to a bigger audience.

Robert Plant was a rock star long before he became a rock star---if you know what I mean. We come from the same small town where he was a recognisable figure in his tight jeans, cowboy boots and fringed suede jacket and always ready to sing and jam at the drop of a hat at the local pubs. Always had a great voice.

This is your reaction hearing the incredible Led Zeppelin now, 50 odd years after Plant first wailed, Page made love to the guitar, Jonesy and Bozo killing it......... Now imagine if you will, the reaction of seeing Zeppelin in concert back then? It went beyond anything you could imagine. It played into you, through you, became the very soul of you.... Hours after leaving their concerts, the music would still be throbbing in you. It wasn't just music, it bordered on being something almost other worldly......

Everybody was smoking pot and the joints would just be passing by for anyone to take a hit. It truly was a magical music 🎶 time in history that can never be duplicated. The energy was electric!!

We went to a few concerts even if we didn't like the band, just for the weed. I didn't see that many great bands, but I did see a few. I saw Led Zeppelin when I was in high school, can't remember the year. Missed out on Hendrix. I had a ticket, but I was in eighth grade and Mom nixed my ride. No adults. Cried almost to death. I wish you guys could have swung by Florida and taken me to some of those great shows.

Watch the live version of this and see the "pocket pickle" Robert Plant sports, then ya know what he's talkin' 'bout, but one of the greatest rock vocals ever ~ Jimmy Paige one of the best rock guitarists ever, John "Boz" Bonham THE BEST rock drummer and everyone forgets John Paul Jones because he was so quiet, but he was crucial to Zep's sound, great bassist, keys and anything else thrown at him ~ So there you have it, just three instrumentalists and a singer, not many rock bands can pull off that sound with just four mates making music......

Bohnam playing rides I never heard before. Band was like some Magical, Mystical,Orgasmic dream. The 50s and 60s were Great. Draft sucked. It forced a "live for the moment" mind set. An escape from reality. Or some kind of Zen trip. Those who made it thru. Some never left the 60s. Even now as old as hell I'm still back there. You young kids will never know. Robert Plant runs a clinic on why he’s an all time elite rock vocalist, the guitar work by Jimmy Page is brilliant in this song too, John Paul Jones on the keys and bass really shines as well as the underrated band member and as always John Bonham’s drumming keeps everything tight.
