I love the entire Humanity Ch 4 album (and pretty much every piece I’ve ever had the privilege of hearing from TSFH) so much! But this track is one of my particular favorites. The synthesizer matches with Merethe’s voice so flawlessly and along with the choir, the percussion, the electric guitar, and the orchestral aspects, they all blend together and complement each other so beautifully! If I could sum this track up in one word, I would choose EXHILARATION. It’s almost as if the listener is traveling throughout the universe at the speed of light; witnessing supernovae, the formation of new stars and galaxies, mysterious and interesting moons and planets, black holes, comets, and all the other amazing and incredible phenomena and sights that outer space has to offer. And maybe even finding other forms of life along the way. In a way I feel like words cannot express my admiration and love for this piece, yet here we are.

What about 'Unbreakable'? That was from 2019 right? I really like that one, even if it's composition is nothing extraordinary and it's a shame the track is so short... Oh and an honorable mention for 'Race to Durango', when I first heard that one I was filled with happiness while I was riding my bike, after seeing the track name I was surprised, how can one make a race, sound this epic? xD

Love how it starts off casual. Funky, with bit of choir. And you think: "Yeah, I'm cruising in space". And then at 1:12, it just kicks 3 gears up. The sound hits you, wraps around you with its rising tones and you realise: "Okay, NOW I'm cruising in space. This is a whole new level, and I'm speechless." There's a lot of space-themed stuff in the world - and this helped me rerealise just how awe-inspiring space travel actually is.

That's what suprises me about Thomas as well. Not only does he write at such an high level, he does so incredibly fast! For example, Heart of Courage was written in a day. That's A Wrap, a 10 minute piece of complex music, took only a week to compose, orchestrate and produce (!).

Thomas puts so much depth into his music. I usually listen to music on full blast for obvious reasons, but I have found, listening to this one in particular, that it sounds much different when I listen to it at a lower volume, and there are a lot of subtleties that I miss by blasting it at full volume. Truly a work of art.

At first I was sceptical when I read your comment, but you are right. Listening directly after to Unbreakable changed my mind. I could imagine that we are cruising in space with planet earth being our vehicle. Maybe the earth is unbreakable? Maybe the fact that the earth is cruising is unbreakable? I don't know. This just comes to my mind when I try to think about that.

In a long time, I've been listening to this album, I was able to build up a whole story that wraps all the pieces together: *Space for Rent:* The story starts with the history of humanity's astronomical discoveries: Gallileo Galilei having a first-ever peek at the stars and other heavenly bodies through a telescope, the uncertainty of whether the Earth, the Sun, or something else is the centre of the universe, the rovers sending us the first information about what the surface of other planets is like. *Apollo:* The score describes the flight of Apollo 11, as it is about to become one of the biggest milestones of mankind. *Rocket to the Moon:* This track translates the emotions of the crew aboard one of the newest and greatest ships, the goal of which is to build the first moon habitats for long-term living and research. From now on, a lot is happening: *Cruising in Space:* Suddenly, as the intro at the beginning of Cruising in Space foreshadow, something is happening: an unknown, indescribably beautiful ship approaches. The crew is unknowingly boarding the ship, as they lose contact with Earth. It all feels like a fever dream. 0:43 Suddenly, an abstract figure, distantly resembling a human body, approaches. 0:57 All of our earthlings are given a device, that, as they slowly realize, helps them understand the writings and voices on the new spacecraft. 1:12 Suddenly, the ship starts moving. 1:41 Another abstract figure comes towards them, escorting them to what seems to be the bridge of the ship. They see several other figures monitoring the flight. 2:10 Out of the blue, the walls flash white, and a voice is heard, however, there are no words. Soon after, they realize it was a safety warning in preparation before light-speed engines kicked in: 2:24 The stars are flying by, stretching into longer and longer lines. 3:08 One of the figures (the one they met first), steps forward. It starts showing them holograms of what their race has managed to learn about our species, and, despite having no distinct face, seems very happy and honoured to meet us in person. 3:30 The ship slows down, flying past several Earth-like planets. Our astronauts are in awe watching this beautiful scenery never shown to a human eye. 3:43 The voice is back, this time, as our travellers presume, informing them of further slowing down. 4:12 The voice is here again. This time, however, they feel like something bad is about to happen. 4:26 The ship enters a belt of debris that is orbiting around one of the bigger planets. It doesn't sound good. The figures seem to be off-put too. 4:56 It's the voice again, this time sounding very stressful. The travellers see a large asteroid that is for sure on a collision course with the ship. 5:10 It seems like there's nothing that can be done to avoid the crash. The asteroid is getting closer and closer. 5:41 Suddenly, the light-speed engines start the ship jerks a bit. The asteroid is nowhere to be seen. They survived. 6:39 The ship slows down a bit. It is apparently replenishing charge in the lightspeed engines. 6:53 Ship speeds back up, as it goes faster and faster. Everyone is relieved that nothing bad happened. 7:22 The ship is slowing down, as the figures show signs of happiness. Through the windows, a big planet with vast oceans and broad lands can be seen. It seems to be their home planet. I will probably continue the story when the next score comes out just so I can time-stamp it.
