Just woke up, and the moment I opened my phone your video's notification popped up. I've been waiting for this! Goddamn.. This is probably the most evil they've ever sounded. Not sure if anyone else could hear it, but the atmosphere of the song reminded me of Bloodbath. Phil activated his inner Trevor Strnad (TBDM) with those insane highs. This is a statement. Great song but bummed that they overreacted to the whining the minority did over Kin. No clean singing at all is a mistake. Probably got rid of guitar solos and any kind of melodic elements. It's just going to be 2024 Somatic Defilement. Good background music but nothing I'm going to be talking about 20 years from now or bother reading the lyrics to.

Honestly Kin and The Valley were some of my favourite records of the last decade, let alone Chapel's discography but I wouldn't mind /as much/ if they dropped the melodic elements if they can at least hold on to the more progressive take they showed too. More experimental sounds, odd time signatures, songs changing vibe mid-way through - thinking like Cattle Decap, Fallujah, Shadow of the Colossus kind of thing. If they go just straight bro-down deathcore like a remastered This is Exile I will be a bit let down...

No it isn't. The clean era is done for now. And the ones "whining" were definitely not a minority dude. I liked both but this was the whitechapel that I prefer and grew up with I'm pretty sure some of the younger kids that were first introduced by the valley and kin would have the opposite opinion that I do.
