I didn't interpret it as him really dancing but being like a marionette to greed. Because this song is about corporate greed and how you kick people off the ladder while you're climbing up.

I agree. At first I was thinking WTF is this guy doing dancing? Then it clicked. The Briefcase , representing power hungry goals at any expense being the Puppet Master. Took him over. He never let the Briefcase go. Excellent call Ashley! We didn't know the significance the Briefcase was 'till the end. Then the greed and power hungry aspirations were shown. Even though he could take a few hits , Bullets , he carried on to his final doom. Karma. Another killer Jinjer songs that makes one think. \m/

Irony is that without "corporate greed", Jinjer never would have been able to make this video, nor would we have a platform to comment about it on.

Some album reviews say that this song is the only one with the "typical Jinjer sound" in all the album, which makes sense as this song is the introduction to the album. So I believe we'll hear more experimentation in the next realeases.

Yes!!! I Love Jinjer! Just saw them live a few weeks back and she was amazing live. We have no oxygen here in colorado so for her to rock as hard as she did it was amazing. That being said The video doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me on first viewing, but the song was fantastic on first listen, and I cannot wait for more.

Yeah, Tatiana is author of 99% of Jinjer's lyrics, and she is not text-writer - she is deeply thinking POET (she has a lot of poems that is not songs)... Her words is clearly truth - this is rarity today when only rhymes and riffs is needed to be "rock-band", but her lyrics is like you can see in Destruction's "Curse of Gods" ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqvNY4F-j9CAhKc ) or in Slayer's "Bloodline" ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZeuhoqsi6iqrKc ) Peace!

Yes....That, or RATM.... I'm not even gonna say 'you can see their influence there'...cause, at this point, anyone could be in a way influencing Jinjer's style.. yet, their sound is unique...It's like when you listen to Bad Water...Did anyone say Tool? They can play to the sound of any band they well feel like doing..and it's always gonna sound great!..or better in some cases..! Because no other band has three guys like Roman, Eugin and Vlad put together and produce the sound they make..This is a miracle mix..

@101327 If you really care about composition, listen to more band known for it and being active longer than ten years. It’s really funny seeing people worshiping the “technicality” of these young cheesy bands:)
@Neal_YouTube5 жыл бұрын
@@ycyang2698 Not trying to start a fight, just being sincere - What other bands that have been around longer than 10 years were you thinking of? Because I gotta tell you, I've been listening to metal since 82-83 and Jinjer is pretty good at composing songs. I don't care for every single one of them, but they have some really complex songs.
@ycyang26985 жыл бұрын
Neal I don’t know if these technical fans can really listen into Meshuggah, or just have forced themselves to listen to them 100 times but never enjoyed them once. Because when you really appreciate what Meshuggah is capable of, all the so-called technical core bands are just boring. And, some of these fans would say other “non-technical” metals are boring, but in my opinion, all notable bands of other “non-technical” metal genre have better composition than most “technical “ cores (eg. Jinjer). These fans only look at the quantity of notes in the song , but they never understand them the quality or the arrangement of the notes.
@Neal_YouTube5 жыл бұрын
@@ycyang2698 Okay, that's a fair enough explanation of what you're talking about. Have you listened to "Exposed as a Liar" by Jinjer? I'd argue that song is not boring and very quirky.
