Spending the day out at Daxton Bennick's Compound, Two Two Academy focused on the proper cornering techniques on a motocross track. From body positioning to throttle control, the Reeds refined their skills to charge through corners as fast and smooth as possible- all to prepare for their upcoming races.
We're the Reeds! Chad Reed is a multi-time supercross and motocross champion and the record holder for the most main event starts in AMA supercross history, with 265 starts! After recently retiring it is time for us to start the next chapter in our lives and we've decided to bring everyone along for the ride with us on our new youtube channel The Reeds!

The good thing about soft dirt is it don't hurt when you fall. Pick 1 or 2 turns and send it. Gas it in no brake and roll on the gas. If you fall over start laughing. Have fun with it. Eventually it will be so fun and corner speed improves. Good job CHAD. Great teaching. Let them fall and be happy they did 👍👍👍 kiaah is awesome. What a trooper

Right at 12:53 and on Tate just started getting it. Night and day compared to all his others and his next one was great too. It’s hard to understand and even harder to explain sometimes but when you feel it you get it. And I saw a confident cornering Tate right at that moment it clicked.

This is one of the biggest steps in motocross to get comfortable with. Leaning with the bike. You won't be able to hit ruts correctly until you force yourself to lean with the bike and not be afraid of falling over. Balance baby balance

You can't really weight the outside peg when you lean over that far. Are you supposed to sit on the outside of seat or inline with it.

@@bloomerb4162 yep, learn to roll through your turns. You don’t need to be wide open for it to be effective. Just smooth throttle through the turn with momentum

gawd I loved riding in sand. you could just lean it over and hold it open. but maybe not on those narrow-arse mini tires! 😄 i can see Chad pushing Kiah to do this with leaning in and trusting the throttle to keep your balance. wow: "The slower you go, the harder it is." So true. great line 22!

The Reeds...........AWESOME & COOL, fun & growth all around!!! 1. A picture is worth a thousand words & just like hitting a certain jump the first time with a ""TOE IN & OVER"" having the VISUAL EXAMPLE of dad going through the turn in the exact fashion that he wants & is VERBALLY TEACHING the kids, I for one NEED to SEE IT rather than hear it. 2. How about a HUGE/HIGH sand berm that is even a bit tighter & HAS TO BE ATTACHED to get through & around because of how soft & deep it is & this CAN/WILL assist them with the LEAN/GAS IT TURNING EVENT that you are trying to get to in this video. 3. After a few WFO trips thru the above fluffy sand wall/turn the kids will then have ""FELT IT"" in their brains & their guts/butts and that is one of the hardest things to get the ""FEEL OF"". 4. A nice big sand berm, watch dad drag the handle bars in the sand up close and personal, then ""TOE"" each kid into the turn and let them ""COPY THE EXPERT"" (monkey see=monkey do) and I think this might help & really shouldn't hurt in any way to SEE THE BEST do it from up close, at the side, on the bike right behind & then WATCH OUT, the lil dam will be broken & nothing but speed will pour out!!! Just my 2 pennies worth, take it or toss it in the creek. You all have a great summer & stay safe.............peace......MR

@rossybruh9939
@rossybruh9939 2 жыл бұрын
Use your knees to grab the bike not your hands. It will keep your hands free and arm pump down to be able to steer and feather the clutch more especially on a smaller bike which calls for keeping the rpm’s up.

i think today couldve been even better if you got a little bike to ride with them, that lead and follow always helps to learn but you could also help keep that rut decent...but i see alot of the monkey see monkey do in anything a kid learns. i see a little of chads frustration in wondering why they cant just get it or do it like he believes, hes doing it it all right but i think that extra element could prove to their benefit
