Donna, since You probably don't understand what racing horses and beloved whippets are, You should not compare... My 13 Whippets are treated like best speed horses, best food, best care, best anything I can give them. And they express what we can't buy anywhere: sincere, genuine love. They love run, they are born to that! Like racing horses they deserve our best perception, and that's include not give one to dummy people. (sellers must don't sell them only for money, they deserve special owners, like in these video, people who understand what they really are and need). They deserve the best of our Human race, since whippets are simple the best friends Humans can have.

So? Whippets were bred for racing and hunting rabbits. Also, this is not abusive to whippets and they love it. They do these events because it is good, healthy, and fun for humans and dogs.

They love it actually. My whippet can run forever! Did you hear what the guy said at the end, "If the dogs didn't enjoy it, we wouldn't be here." Not only do they love the running part, but socializing with other dogs must be really fun for them. This is just my opinion (and probably the RIGHT one), as a whippet owner.

Whippets love competing watch them whenever a Greyhound is around they will harass the Grey Hound until it runs away so it can try to race it.
