TxDOT El Paso District_ Montana Phase 1 3D Video

This is a 3D Video Animation of TxDOT's Montana Phase 1 Project in El Paso, Texas. Limits of this project are from Global Reach to Tierra Este. Project was designed by Dannenbaum Engineering and consists 6 Lane Freeway with 3 lane Frontage Roads in each direction. Main Lanes will have over passes at Lee Trevino Drive, George Dieter Blvd, Wooster Lane and underpass structures at Saul Kleinfeld and Loop 375.

I was stationed at F.B.T in 1975 then 1980 to 83, lived on Lee Trevino avenue. Had some of the best times of my life there, when you came off of Lee Trevino on to Montana you would take a right go down 1/2 mile and there was this last bar / trailer court, a little further down was a drive in & Auto salvage lot... That was it, nothing but pure desert. I can't believe how much it change, 2 lanes east, 2 lanes west. Just unbelievable, it was a time when you could grab a six pack of beer and drive out in the desert and park anywhere, now and then border control would come by, shoot the s*** with you. Never bothered you or checked your ID at that time you could drink a beer when you're driving down the highway, or six pack if you're parked... Just can't believe what good times we had out there. You gotta love Texas.👍👍👍

In my opinion, they should extend that out all the way out to Hueco Tanks. It’s growing so fast that it will need to be done eventually.

They have started this project and at the intersection of Montana and George Dieter when you cross under the bridge the intersection has two substantial dips/bumps that causes the traffic to slow way down to avoid damaging cars. WHO APPROVED THAT STUPIDITY? WHO WILL FIX THAT STUPIDITY???????
