So for most Canadians, we're forced to take 6 months off every year! One thing I've found that really helps (and this sounds campy), but when I 'find' something at the range or am playing well on the course, I write it down. I keep an actual Google doc with notes on my successful swing thoughts or feelings. Then when I come out of hibernation in the spring, I read that through first before my first trip to the range, and I've found that it really does help. It feels like I don't have to start from scratch every year.

Six months with Larry over the winter would translate to amazing results come spring time.
@uwrossl2 жыл бұрын
I actually do this all the time. Don't keep a google doc. But I've found when I have a few good range sessions and have been working on a few specific thoughts and seeing really good results...then have a couple of days to a week off before getting it on to the course I struggle to recall some of the nuance that I figured out. So before I tee off I review notes on my phone and hit a short warm up at the range and it has helped a lot with finding that groove early in rounds rather than searching for it. Once I've worked on it long enough for it to become second nature then I can move on. But it's amazing what a few little notes from range sessions can do to help.

I am in probably in a group that doesn't need this swing fix, but I have been looking for videos to help my swing. I cannot get much distance due to a torn acl that has not been fixed. I tore my right acl twice and after the second injury, I did not get surgery to repair it. I would love to see a video with someone that has knee problems to help their swing.

Sometimes taking time off helps you forget some of the bad things you were doing. The lower body and rotation looks better than ever. I hadn't thought of sitting more in my trail leg and rotating from there, been focusing getting on lead side. I guess this helps you rotate into your lead side instead of shifting to lead then rotating.
