Snuck the 6x in place of the 5x and never mentioned it. That was the instant improvement, not so much the weight. 5x is just to light and flimsy (spinny) for 112 mph swing speed. Would like to see 6x results in the tsr3.

I've had much the same experience with my Smoke Triple Diamond, albeit at a considerably slower speed. The heel miss or slightly open face one still comes out pretty flat and doesn't spin as much and stays playable. Remarkably easy to hit, forgiving, and sounds and feels so good. I put just a little lead tape toward the heel and that made it a bit easier to turn over. Best driver I've gamed in years.

I’ve always thought the 5x was light for you. Never hit the vf but I’m similar swing speed and 6x ad-di is perfect for me.

I would like to see the 6x in the TSR3 just to see how that compares to the TD , love all these king of videos !!!They have really helped , I never would of taken the leap to my AutoFlex without them ,Thx!!!

Haven’t checked for a while… I think it was $500cad for fitting with Ian. Not a full bag fitting. I’ve done a couple sessions with the ‘regular’ guys and they’re all super knowledgeable as well. Full bag with them I think was $400… but they always have specials. Right now I believe it’s free fitting with a purchase. It’s more affordable than people think and definitely worth it. Not a sponsored comment but definitely open to it lol

Hey guys, I just had my fit at Club Champ Brisbane Australia and I swing it 112-114 ish and triple diamond for me aswell. Accra shaft 6x/L.A shaft decision but found that my misses were better and best shots better than everything. Note: I've never EVER considered Callaway since the late 90's - I'm now going to be a Triple Diamond Driver and 3 Wood owner -- Well done Callaway...... Well Done

I’d have more of an issue with this fit if Ian’s ball speed was average, but it’s more like tour speed. It’s fun to see these tweaks for that reason. If you want to see how AI Smoke did with 105 mph or less club head speed, I believe the AI Smoke triple D was the winner in their CC bracket challenge with a golfer in that range, and without any extraordinary fitting involved. In sum, it’s on my radar this year for my avg swing along with TM and Cobra.

Glad Ian ended up with the standard Triple Diamond. I am pretty irritated that Callaway is running around KZbin fitting people to the tour heads that aren't available to retail. I ended up buying the Triple Diamond but still wonder how that TD Max would do.

Tour heads aren’t going to give anyone massive gains. There is no secret sauce. A good fitting with standard heads available to retailers will perform just as well as tour heads.

We’ve done it all mate. That’s why I started him with his TSR as that’s the head he hits the best of ALL of them. So any kind of Gotcha video would have happened against the TSR.

I had PING 10k and Qi10 and switched to ai Smoke Triple Diamond after one range session with it. I have it in upright. Going to hit it on a monitor today to play with the settings a bit, but love it.

Do certain shafts suit some heads better than others? Ian playing the same shaft as his gamer into the Callaway head but would you normally play around with different shafts?

A lot of drivers are good...the trick is to get the player to WANT to play it. For a bad player, thats just pure desire. For a good player, thats going to be the numbers and the on course results.

The TD AI Smoke is way better than the Paradym TD was. I had both including the STD model Paradym and I have to say I LOVE the AI smoke TD. Easier to hit, launches higher by default, more forgiving and it feels AMAZING. It reminds me of a R510TP I once had filled with lightweight foam. Solid Thud at impact, and ball flight is great.

Ok here is what is wrong with design of TXG HQ … sorry CC HQ 🇨🇦… there needs to be a Cage Match Bay where there is seating surrounding the sides and back and events like these sell the seating and a portion of seat sales go to charity. It’s the indoor equivalent of watching driving range at a Pro Event. Of course I only want a Sky Box Seat for my idea. 😂👍

I have a question on equipment. I am a 60 year old male about 5'3" and 110 lbs. my normal drive is between 210 and 220 on good day it is farther. Is there and equipment recommendation to try to increase this driver distance. Thanks

Maybe I missed it if they mentioned in the video but Ian seems to be swinging slower than his normal speed. I've seen him hit bombs in the 116mph range but didn't seem to have that speed in this video.

in my experience, Callaway heads are heavier to me so that may be a factor.

Kinda strange to use all the tour heads for a video to the public IMO - I get that it’s more fun for Ian, but a fitting like this just isn’t available to 99% of golfers, regardless of the money you’re willing to spend, normal fitters don’t have the gear. It would make a bit more sense to fit Ian into the standard line of heads in the video, then get him the tour stuff afterwards off screen. Just feels like the entire video exists to flex.

The point of doing it that way is to simply show that the TOUR heads ARE NOT UNICORNS. Thats why I show them to you guys. I work on TOUR, everyone thinks TOUR heads are Gods gift to the planet...as you can see in all the videos we have done. They are not. Thats why.
