The album is about the 5 stages of grief. This song is anger. Opening Sequence is denial, Lonely Boy is depression, Trust Fund is bargaining and Thursday's Child is acceptance. It's a great original concept.

The MV was great. Loved the darkness with the infusion of rich colors, it’s visually interesting. Definitely feels like a transition from cute good boy to bad boy stage.

I'm not sure if what you said about them being sick of their "good boy" image is true, maybe it is, but I do know that the entire album is about a first breakup and all the stages and feelings people go through.

Right. All the songs on the album create a cohesive story of a boy who's been through his 1st break up, and the different stages of grief that follow it.

They never disappoint and their growth amazing and they're soo unique! Absolutely loved this comeback and the b sides are immaculate. That was one of my favourite relay dances ever they're sooo funny and so many chaotic moments. I know you said you'll maybe start watching TO DO and get to know the boys a bit more no rush but I'd love TO DO reactions one of my favourite variety show.

Relay dance videos are so fun, it’s a great way to show their talent and fun side.

TXT actually has done about 30 genres...they are all about new styles. This song and MV actually references their previous tracks like Nap of the Star, Cat and Dog, Love Song, Angel or Devil, the You concept from the Chaos chapter, and so on. They are killing off the Angel chosen by the girl they liked when she gave them a halo and then stood them up and left. This was a natural progression of their title track and primary storyline to go thru growth and continue forward. It was hinted at back in Eternally with Kai having devil wings instead of Angel wings and in Frost when Angel Kai gets trapped in a mirror. It was directly said in Loser and Love Song when they "fall with broken wings and you directly see the outcome of the car jump attempt to Magic Island in the Japanese MV for Love Song. They literally "fall." On the album the 5 songs are the stages of grief and GBGB as the 2nd track is the "Anger" stage. The last song is about moving on and acceptance of course.

The song is actually just about a really bad break up and when they kept saying to ditch their old selves etc they were saying when they were in the relationship but now they feel free and better also why soobin said that line about the sad feeling not being as bad as he thought :)

If you follow from debut to the current album, there is a basic overarching concept ie the various emotions that the boys face in their growth from teens to young adults. This comeback is actually about the pain and heartache that the boys go thru after a breakup. All five songs of the album each represent the five stages of grief, and Good Boy Gone Bad is the climax of their emotional upheaval, resulting as, you've rightly put it, going good to bad as a cathartic outlet. Thursday Child Has Far To Go shows however, that the boys are able to sort of recover from this, cos the song ends with a hopeful note :)
