Ty Gibbs finished third in Sunday's Cup Series race in Chicago. He finished second the day before in the Xfinity Series race, but fans were talking about the Joe Gibbs Racing driver's post-race interview, where he admitted how he made an "embarrassing" mistake on pit road before unexpectedly dumping his drink on NBC reporter Dave Burns.
Another Toyota driver, Bubba Wallace, was in the headlines after Sunday's race for his post-race reaction, where he aggressively slammed into the slide of race winner Alex Bowman on the cool-down lap, showing his displeasure for a move earlier in the race when the HMS car spun out the No. 23 and affected his overall day.
Plus, Hailie Deegan is out at AM Racing, and how Joey Logano's performance in Saturday's Xfinity race inside the No. 15 car might have had a potential impact.

Larson was breaking later and going faster into most corners. Svg said in post interview he thought that was impressive by Larson. It was good racing. Svg had a different style, he would break a bit earlier but also go faster and be much more stable in the corner. Larson would say it was his car not being able to be stable in the high corner speed compared to SVG car, but it was SVG driving which made him carry stability and speed in certain corners. But larson still gave SVG props and said that SVG was playing with him,

Why would you think a suspension would be over the top? Drivers don’t care about monetary fines. The only thing they hear is you’re out for 2 races or however many they get. That and points penalties for both the driver and owner gets their attention if it’s enough points. I think the reason Truex didn’t get a penalty is because that shit just happened to him, it was more instinctive. Bubba had a rain delay and a bunch of racing to cool off. But on the other hand it didn’t seem like Bubba was trying to wreck Bowman, just voice his displeasure. Hocevar was intending to wreck the #21. It kinda seems like history is taken into account here. Hocevar is just dirty, Bubba doesn’t really try to wreck people as much as rough em up, and Truex is as clean as it gets. Ultimately, you do have to do something tho, Bowman was clearly surprised and that’s dangerous.

I don’t think it’s right that NASCAR dragged the LaJoy caution all the way out to the end of the stage. It gave a huge advantage to the teams that were on slicks. The rain was increasing with each lap and had they gone back to green team on slicks would have been forced to make a decision to pit or not. The extended caution solved that problem for them by just letting them ride around behind the pace car. NASCAR penalizes drivers for altering race outcomes yet they do crap like this all the time!🤬🤬

OK, you posted that Truex gave Larson a hard time beating and banging down the straight away. Then he went after Hamlin. Yet, there was no penalty. So I ask any of you. When is the last time that Truex had issues and continued to tear into cars throughout the season? There wasn't one. For the most part Truex is a clean driver. Now lets look at Wallace. Yes, he did pretty much what Truex did yesterday. But, how about the issues with Armorla? or Larson at Kansas, and so on. It seems to be a habit of his to retaliate against drivers over and over. I wanted to add a little bit of history to this scenario. Remember when the Intimidator (Dale Sr.) seemed to be crashing everyone to win a race. There were plenty of them for sure. I forget whom said it, (I think it was Buddy Baker) but if a puppy is bad. You correct him while he is a puppy. You dont wait until he is full grown and out of control. Sense it came out of nowhere, I think she was released. In the 3 1/2 seasons, two crew chiefs and a couple of spotters left or released. This is both trucks and Xfinity.

i think any contact after the race should face consequences. its one thing to lightly bump a bumper or touch the side to say congrats on the win, but if its done for any other reason or in any other manner, it should be a major penalty, PERIOD. of course thats MY opinion. we all know nascar doesnt listen to what the fans think anyways, and its a good thing they dont listen to your opinions either. nascar should start penalizing the entire team for the actions of the driver. park the entire team for 2 weeks and take them OUT of any championship contention. you wanna act like a loser, BE A LOSER !!! park the driver AND the car. you cant control your driver, the entire team gets penalized. any driver consequences coming from in house should NOT affect the crews, just the driver, but from nascar it should be the entire team !!!

Great infinity race, that’s how races should be raced. Pass cars without touching them.. Nowadays , just hang around in second place and dump the fist place car on the third corner of the last lap. Does it remind you of someone ?NASCAR won’t do anything.
