Everyone should listen and spread the word to help all endangered animals like this

Ty is the first guy to import veiled chameleons back in the early 90's and actually got them to produce... This is what started his fame/fortune.

He really understands conservation well. So many people think that all you need to do to preserve a wild species is "breeding programs", but the truth is habitat conservation is arguably even more important. As long as they have space to live and aren't being hunted or harvested in the wild, their populations will do just fine. So commendable for him to strive to make his captive breeding about reducing the incentive for wild imports and donating to conservation efforts.

Oh wow. I thought you were referring to T.Y. Park, the actual park (which is short for Topeekeegee Yugnee Park). lol I used to go there when I was a kid, but I don't remember seeing any lizards. It's in Hollywood, Florida though, so I'm sure there are plenty of wild garden lizards, curly tails and iguanas in that area.

Are blue rhino iguanas all crosses or what makes them a blue ?
@hoppy20504 жыл бұрын
The blue iguana looks a lot like a Ctenosaura or Black Iguana from Costa Rica. So much so that I wouldn't be surprised if they were related. Love lizards.

Why are we not supposed to have pure lewisi? How do they determine if they are hybrid or pure?
@trashsplashtucker9 жыл бұрын
+Komodo Fishing I'm assuming it's because they're threatened as Kenan said
@komodofishing67959 жыл бұрын
+TrashSplash Tucker they are all classified as endangered, threatened etc. this place sells C. bakerii, almost gone endangered, and that one is legal. My question was why are we not allowed to own pure captives. Thanks for your 2 cents, I'm richer now.
@c-unitdabking98337 жыл бұрын
Komodo Fishing you can't own pures in captivity because none exist already in captivity as purebreds and removing a purebred from the wild is illegal. If that doesn't answer your question I'm not sure what will. and they determine purity by either bloodwork or most breeders keep track of their bloodlines so that's how

And how to care
@Mackinz929 жыл бұрын
Hey Kenan. I need your help. I recently came into the care of a desert tortoise, probably from California (where I live), but it has an issue I think I need to understand before I proceed any further in its care. Its shell is mostly white, first of all. Here are three image links: 1) i.imgur.com/2aNtVFP.jpg 2) i.imgur.com/y5GJZCJ.jpg 3) i.imgur.com/82G6SXY.jpg I am not sure why. Is/was it shell rot? Obviously, it should not be a white shell.
