Ty’s 81 Monte Carlo ( 355 Sbc ) comes home to get diagnosed…

We go pick up Ty’s  1981 Monte Carlo to diagnose a noise in the rear of the car. We also are going to give the car a good once over to make sure everything is what it supposed to be. Tyler’s G body 355 small block Chevy has proven to be a awesome street car. We are going to get everything ready and fixing the rear and then when the season ends we are going to pull the engine and get ready for the solid roller cam to be installed. Our email address is. Looking forward to the part 2. When u do the solid roller i would love to see what u use to seal the gasket. I use 1206 but been having them fail at the valley and suck oil repeatedly. Recently redid job with avaition form a gasket on the head around intake ports as well as on both sides of the gasket. So far so good.

I never had a issue before and I also use 1206 gaskets, is your intake warped? Or head surface not flat? Just wandering, hope your new fix works out ✌️💪

It was something but not the rear end that’s for sure, looks great in there 💪

Tighten up the shocks make sure the rear end bushings are good but that gear oil is a nasty smell

That's right when you own a street / race car you have to do a nut and bolt maintenance routine. that a daily driver wouldn't need. that being said, when you do routine maintenance on a daily. A safety check air pressure in the tires including the spare and checking all the lights Herb. What's up with 1 back up light? 🤣🙃🤣🙃 just busting your chop's Bro. but now we know why the was gettin chewed up.
