So I can effectively return the wireless sim dongle I just bought. When I purchased the NX8 today I asked if I still needed it and was told I did. This disproves that statement. Thank you for saving me some $$

Yeah they told you a load of rubbish. You just use the charge cable that it ships with :)

I live in northern Ontario Canada so I just ordered RF Evolution and I have the nx8 transmitter so your video is going to really help me when the software and the new gaming laptop arrive next week. You should check with Horizon to see if your tx is compatible, I no no experience of the DXS I'm afraid.

I only have about 2 years experience with RC planes but i have grew out of my 6 channel with in that 2 years. I did not fly at all last season but i want to get back into it. im getting real flight this winter and i was thinking of getting the NX8+ or the NX10 Will real flight use the 20 channels?

Hmm, I don't think many planes would warrant the use of 20 channels. I think you'll be fine with the NX10, or even the 8+ 👍

Thank you, I don't know I'm afraid as this is my first time using Realflight. You should see an option in Steam to upgrade. Talking to Horizon Hobby might be your best bet if you have no joy on Steam. ✔

Hello! I'm considering getting a "real transmitter" for my RealFlight sims. I don't have any real world RC aircraft experience - and I probably won't in my area. I'm wondering, will I have to care for the transmitter batteries like the aircraft batteries? Or can I just run the transmitter with it plugged into the PC? Thanks!

Hey, your PC won't power a 'proper' transmitter so you will have to take care of the batteries. Most ship with rechargeable batteries so that is no drama :)

Hi Jackie, thank you! No these are not specifically for transmitters, in fact they are quite a tight fit but easy enough to do if you can warm them a little. I have just put a link to them on Amazon in the description so you may need to refresh the video to see it :) I can no longer find the orange version but you may have more joy in the US. Stoke-on-Trent is nice, but probably not during The Blitz 😆 I hope you have subscribed!! 😉

I had 7.5 worked great now to many problems trying to get realflight to work and trying to setup a steam account (impossible to do ) which is the only way to get it I am looking for a different product that actually will work

I clicked on my Horizon Hobby email link to download the Realflight Evolution but don't see an option to download, nor is it in my Library, any help would be appreciated.

Hi John here is the link to Realflight Evolution in the Steam store. You should see an option to upgrade/buy outright depending what previous version (if any) you have had installed through Steam (I believe some people have got a free upgrade if they previously bought 9.5S) store.steampowered.com/app/2069310/RealFlight_Evolution/

I did everything step by step and I get only a screen with the jet no menu nothing anything help ? I also have the interlink DX that does the same thing I can't get the menu to show up or to see the controller to calibrate

You may have a hardware/software conflict. I'd consult RF for further info

Thankyou for sharing this would you be able to help me please, im using NX8 and the RF9.5s with the free upgrade to EVO, using a brand new i7 processor samsung laptop. i have installed the software using steam and on RF9.5 when i select simulaion / select controller nothing happens the dropdown box just closes, also when i tyr and select a helicopter i get an error message popup then the program closes down, have re installed severall times off steam to the same outcome :( when i installed the EVOLUTION version pressing escape does nothing and i cant seem to get the menu up either so frustarting anyways thanks fr the video and iv subscribed for futre content ;)

Hi Deej, thanks for the sub. That sounds like you might have a hardware/software issue. I can't help you with the shutting down or error message. You are turning on your transmitter before you load RF aren't you?

@@TotalRCOfficial yes iv since found out that the latest 12th gen Intel core processors don't support the directx software that RF uses, iv since Neen refunded, hopefully one day real flight bring their drivers upto date and I can try again 👍

That's because I didn't use a Spektrum Dongle.

Using the dongle is super easy. Press the bind button as you insert the dongle then bind it to your transmitter like you would to a new model. The transmitter just thinks it's a new airplane.
