I haven't listened to his last album because I heard it wasn't very good with all the vocals etc.... did you like it? I might have to check it out... i dont mind this track so much. This sounds like classic tycho

@@AlexHerlan The tracks with vocals are still fantastic in their own right and Sinner did an awesome job, the thing is though... If you're the kind of person who just likes to dissolve into your music and let your mind and feelings drift along with it then the vocals are kind of distracting. In the past Tycho always had small, quiet vocals sprinkled in the background of songs, occasionally echoing or quietly speaking (Past is Prologue is a good album example of that), they were more a part of the music and mingled in perfectly. Adding full vocals however often overpowers the music and robs it of that depth we love the music for.

It's weird. Every time you release music it's at a point in my life things are changing and moving on. Ever since i was 14 when awake came out. I already loved dive as a 12 year old child. Now I'm 20. When weather came out i just lost a job that i was at for years and dedicated so much to. You said easy is the bridge to the future and it motivated me. Thank you. Now i just got out of a 2+ year relationship and it hurts but I'm moving a long and seeing a bright future ahead of me. Your music has been so inspiring and motivating to me life and again i would just like to say thank you so much.

The first time I really listened to Tycho was when I took my first flight ever to live in Korea for a year. My new found family took a New Years Eve trip to Osaka, Japan. Wandering the streets, seeing everything for the first time, and marveling at the scenes of a dramatically different landscape through the frame of a railcar window was just the beginning. But I only had one album on my music player: Tycho's Dive. I played it over and over on the planes and trains. It wrapped all my incredible experiences together and now leaves me with a fond feeling of nostalgia for a time and place that I could never experience the same way again. Years later, when those beats and rhythms roll in, it takes me right back to Osaka and the memories therein.

That's beautiful how memories work that way. There is also a memory hack with colognes(smell), when traveling to a place you've never been before. Buy the local cologne and wear it through out the whole trip, then don't wear it for a long time. Then after a while when you put it on, memories of the trip will flood your memory.

Your comment reminded me of all of the new music, including Tycho, that I listened to while I lived in Thailand for a year. The music is the landscape. I can't ever forget it. Thanks for reminding me!

Wow! I still remember moments like this too! I remember flying above the Mediterranean Sea listening to Tycho and watching the small islands popping up between the clouds. Travelling to Austrian alps at night, seeing all those little lights shining in the background and falling asleep, while listening to Tycho. These are moments that stuck with me and bring so many memories.

Having listened to Tycho for the better part of a decade, this track to me represents everything that Tycho was, is, and will be - a perfect summation of the evolution his sound has seen but all the while preserving the character that has been present since the beginning. It blooms and flows through you, enveloping you in an array of melancholy that yet has a sense of hope and optimism for what is yet to come.

I have always loved instrumental music. My kids don’t get it. Is it really that strange? Tycho is my favorite artist. His music takes me to new places every time I listen to it. It can literally bring me tears of joy over and over again. Recently I began listening to a group called Maximum Love. It’s synthwave but has the emotion that I crave and is rare like Tycho.
@regularlife885 жыл бұрын
My kids surprisingly get it. Maybe they get it from me. I remember loving instrumental music so much when I was a child that I was ecstatic anytime a SNES game had the soundtrack in options. My wife doesn't get it. She hates Ulrich Schnauss. She disliked Tycho. We are separated now. Perhaps there is a woman out there that would get it?
