I feel like your ally dodging in that last game helped you out a lot actually. Zagara basically counters everything that counters you, and if they try to counter her, then you punish them hard. Having an ally that unit spams is super useful for tychus considering his small amount of very powerful units. Though all the knowledge I have of direct strike is from your videos so I might be wrong lol

Dude. Get the Warhound. It has an upgrade that lets it be crazy antiair. Basically it and the turrets it summons are yamato cannons. This lets it break highly tank air units like carriers

Sirius's AA is bugged or something, as you see Sirius use his rockets 1% of the time, I should know, I've seen plenty of Sirius to know that... unless there was an update that fixes that

@@amateurishauthor2202 Sirius's AA bug is fixed, but is still worse AA hero than Vega, always use Vega to counter AA spam unless it's mass light air spam.

I never played this game mode, but I do love sirius. I can see why vega would be better for AA though since with vega all your units turn into AA and are still good at what they're originally built for.

You played this time a lot more strategic, I like it. You still rush gas though (which is okay with tychus tho, cuz hes expensive) but still... Warhound would help you against air, and you should consider using the healer for your cannonball (the heal is incredible)

Gas is good. The people who actually believe gas rush = throwing are gullible chumps who can't math. Here's how it works: let them have mid when they have no gas, then take mid when they gas. If you're good at countering, a small mineral disadvantage in the early-game isn't going to kill you ;) If you still disagree with getting 3 gas ASAP (which is understandable, it's not the right way to go in every situation) AT LEAST get the first gas relatively early. Don't be that guy that goes 10+ minutes with no gas because "gas rush is bad." My favorite part about gas rush is when toxic 'mates rage quit. Unfortunately, alot of them are learning that leaving actually helps. So now they usually just throw so they can "prove" gas rush is bad (see "that guy" above.) All of that said, rushing gas is critical for Tychus IMO, since his units are so expensive. You'll always have weak spawns on the rounds when you don't get a unit, so may as well gas. It takes 3 gas + mid to get 1 unit every round.

@@zacharyhutchison4006 When the team plays properly, you can take lane control before gas and at 4:00 you take the first gas, second when you destroy the enemies bunker. And ofc there are timings for gas if its not happening how you want. First 4:00; second 12:00; third 20:00

@@synka5922 that is waaaaaaay too slow, you can have 3 gas in about 3 minutes and quickly out pace anyone who does that. Even when I don't rush, I try to at least give myself the option of getting my 4th at 10m. One reason it's good with Tychus is because the extra mins at the start practically pay for it.

tychus is the most powerful unit. you should always build it first. He is versatile and can deal with all sorts of situation. that grenade would have help you a lot early game. + the way to play tychus is to manually control the skills.

Tychus is an all around unit. his main purpose is to allow you some leway for when your opponent starts building new units. he is ok vs pretty much everything but medium swarm units. Tychus as a commander is actually really good if you just know who to build when, something that you seem to have gotten better at, but still not gotten down perfectly yet ( then again who have ? ) to give some examples in the first game you could ended the game alot sooner if you build a single Lt. Nikara after your 5th or so cannonball. yes she wont do any damage, but she can heal you and your teammates units for multiple waves, and lets you snowball out of control IF you are already winning. or in your 2nd game, Vega main purpuse is to counter medium to big air units, vs small air units the 3rd unit ( warhound i think ? ) is usually better as he can be used as an aoe bomb vs air units that stacks with his upgrade for himself and the turret he makes. (the Fenix air units can be a problem for this with the dodges tho) with a few of them you can hit critical mass and AOE everyone to death at once just by getting the turrets or themselves killed or timed out in the turrets case. and at that point you dont really want or need a true tank, but you could use the support healer unit to tank ( not Nikkara the other one with stimpack ) untill they start building other things, but then you have to counter that with whatever you need for it and its no longer about the air units. but still, despite how negative i sound you actually did pretty good and i am just nitpicking really. as for the Nikkira ultimate upgrade, its really good for LONG games, when you start haveing like 10-20 units as it starts to generates more HP then a extra cannonball and can be used multiple times for a single nikkara. i usually consider it a 4th tier of the armor uppgrade. TL:DR *pointless nagging and nitpicking and also it was a fun video to watch hope you make more*

7:10 Blaze is good for tanking high single target damage units, and his active ability literally rapes the DPS of any army. Vega is also a direct counter to enemy air if you've got anti-ground army of cannonballs/blaze. 24:10 LITERALLY HARD COUNTERED BY VEGA

Tychus is a late-game unit, due to him getting a bonus based on how many other heroes are around him. Building him early is a mistake as he simply doesn't have the damage or sustain to be worth it.

Your 4th unit should have been either nikara with main heal upgrade or rattlesnake with aoe aspd buff, 7th the one you didn't pick, but only in this one niche strat. The fact their other tychus didn't mass spam sams with lockdowns is a small miracle.

Be nova Makes no marauder to counter ground armor. Makes the classic mistake of trying to hard counter enemy instead of just building enough unit to justify the upgrade cost

You kinda said this at the start, but I disagree with your opinion on how good it is. IMO he's really good, in the right hands. Everything he has is so expensive, one wrong move can end your game, BUT if you know your match-ups he can be highly oppressive. His worst matchups are against air-heavy commanders since everything he has that can shoot up are glass cannons. BUT if you can survive long enough you can punish mass air with storms. My favorite cheese is getting 6+ James ('e' if I said the wrong name, I rarely actually look at the names) with terror rounds and the firerate upgrade so the other team can't shoot back :) The keys to success are: predictive play (as opposed to reactive) and not overspending on all the shiny upgrades.

As an Artanis player, Tychus is a royal pain in the ass to play against. Artanis tends to struggle against hero units in general and Tychus uses all hero units. I've only been playing maybe a couple weeks now (even said hi to you in game since I noticed you were my opposition once) If you have any advise, I'd appreciate it. Right now the strategy I've been relying on is spamming zealot honour guards to kill Tychus which baits him into countering with the hero hellbats and then I tech switch to Tempests. Reavers tend to do okay burst damage as well, but they're too expensive to get enough of them quickly enough and their ammo restraint really screws me over typically, especially since the upgrade doesn't automatically put them at max ammo. I still don't get why people keep screaming at me that reavers are OP and that I should use them more in inappropriate situations, though I have had good experience taking out Tychus players with them.

0Anyone whos put a few hours in with fenix should know the best way to beat tych every time is back line zelots and front line cannons, they clean through any flames or tanks and then the zelots rain down for massive amounts of single target (18 x2 per second without upgrades), only counter that tych can do is build his warhound self destruct but this is a huge waste and you can use that to your advantage by building a second line of zelots!!! also adepts or scouts for any support he throws out. Once youve achieved this spam of units feel free to go for probius and let him unleash his fury!!!!

Having played tychus a few games now after watching this video you are super wrong about the revive upgrade for rob. The stacking passive doesn't reset thus he can actually get that passive stacked and maintain it a hell of a lot longer than 2 robs would. Its also cheaper by 250 minerals because you don't have to buy upgrades for him again
