TYCO Streamliner And Die-Cast Sharknose Set Running and Demo

A video of the rare T.Y.C.O. streamliner die cast sharknose loco with aluminum passenger cars. This set is in outstandingly good shape with the exception of the decal on the coach's right hand side. As a very early venture into model railroading, this Mantua/Tyco MU-1 type drive runs surprisingly well after a full overhaul. Enjoy the rare sight of this green box set in action

I have one of these, friend gave it to me. Has a very interesting Hobby town replacement drive and chassis. Thing weighs on ton.

I can tell those early aluminum cars by just looking at the doors. There are a few of them under my ownership. They are not too bad of cars for the time. Also, the sharknose is a nice little bonus.

I had a century alco 630 ICG with the hobbytown drive. So is the body of the sharknose die cast?

i have my own diecast sharknose, rough condition but i got her for 25 bucks so i’m not complaining. what year was yours made, i’m curious because mine is a 1954 model

The ‘54 model has a weight in the back over the motor, the ‘53 doesn’t but is the same externally
