I still have mine from when I was a kid. It got quite a bit of play, but it was one of those that was a bit of a disappointment in hand. I will be passing on the MP style one's. I don't feel as I need a MP version. Thanks for the look at them again.

I had this toy and I had to get it replaced twice because of 2 annoying things about it that snapped off so easily one being the peg that attached Optimus to his trailer and the other being the peg of one of the 2 black guns that were attached to the top of the trailer.

Okay: the base figure with trailer and engine buddy is Super Ginrai. God Ginrai is when you add on Godbomber. Funny thing is that Hasbruh would use the Takara Super Ginrai retool for the Commemorative Series reissue of Powermaster Optimus Prime (AND threw in Godbomber as Apex Bomber, because the presentation inside the box was literally the C310 God Ginrai set). See...G1 PMOP for me as a kid *WAS* my G1 Optimus Prime. The hype and affinity errybody else has for the OG of 1984? That's how I am with this. I did miss that Commemorative Series reissue, though, but I definitely would love to get that. Probably the cheapest option for a complete G1 God Ginrai/PMOP "with Apex Armor". Yes, I was totally psyched up when I finally got my mitts on Takara's LGEX God Ginrai set, despite the flaws it has (trash ankles), and I am STILL elated to have it. I never bothered with the Maketoys Thunder Manus and their actual transforming Godbomber (not that 🐳💩 attachment set that came in a box set), didn't like how tiny it was (the core robot is literally Legends sized, the combined mode is about ol' skool Leader sized). And I am struggling tryna figure out how I'm gonna get MPG9 Super Ginrai and MPG14 Godbomber, cuz on the surface, those wallet incinerating mofos are way beyond budget _indimavidually!!_ Most I ever paid was for that Jinbao OSKO Gravity Builder, and even then, between being on sale and having some membership points from a previous purchase, I got that mofo down to like 180. Super Ginrai is nearly 300 (46200 yen = 293.69 USD) by himself.

Never owned the g1 PM PRIME toy after 30 years of collecting the line. It always tempted me but for some reason I always found other toys to buy instead. I think until some of the recent prime figures by third party I just never was that into the whole red, white and blue thing. Love the 40th anniversary Prime, gosh it’s the first one I’ve bought after all the g1 prime reissues since 2001… and it’s red white and blue but it works well.

I was so excited for Powermaster Prime as a kid. I hated the red arms being so visible on the trailer and the gap on the back of the cab. It frustrates me more that these weren't fixed in the new MPG version. I expected a nice clean alt mode for a modern version.

I've seen reviews of the MPG 09 and it's the same size of the power master prime. Yes MPG has much better articulation that the original however. I was hoping the MPG was a real master piece size. The KFC is looking better and better.

I have the TItans Return Powermaster Optimus Prime - which is kinda not the same thing. I may go for the Masterpiece or Power Baser.

I canceled all my orders for MPG-09 Ginrai. To me it’s NOT masterpiece scale and I still haven’t forgiven Takara/Hasbro for burning me on a teeny-tiny “Masterpiece” Raiden. So I pre-ordered the KFC instead. Hopefully they do it right and make a God-Bomber /Apex Armor for it as well.

For me PMOP symbolizes approximately when and why I stopped liking Transformers as a kid. Sure I enjoyed him when I first got him, but once the new factor wore off his flaws were overwhelming. Just my opinion of course but everything about this guy felt cheap and inferior to G1 Prime. Alt mode doesn’t resemble a real truck. Core bot is pure trash, base mode is a base mode, and combined mode has horrendous articulation. Doesn’t even compare to other figures his size like Galvatron, Shockwave, or even Magnus.
