If it were G1 I'd really have to give it some thought but with the stylized appearance they've chosen, it's an easy pass. Not that it looks bad, it looks awesome but it doesn't fit my collection so there's no reason to try to find a home for it. Good on em though, for getting it done and putting a decent price it.

All we got was head 13:56 lol? I was going to ask if we would probably see the body for FortMax, but you asked the question. I guess it was the immature child in me that laughed at what you said we got. For $1100 shipped to the US is a very good price for the LR Metroplex and is very tempting. I just wonder how many of them will come with damage out of the box? Also after sale support will show us how well Lewin resources will compete with FT as that is one of their strong suits. I feel like this was just something to distract us all when they hadn't finished a combiner team and I think it worked. I also think they are into doing figures we didn't really ask for instead of finishing ones that we did. I would very interested in buying a FT FortMax body if they announced it and it was very near completion, but I am skeptical now with just renderings given their pattern. I still don't understand the Galvatron 2.0. I am looking forward to finishing Menasor this year, i hope.

Ironic, as FTs offering are Quite Expensive. FT Good? For the Most part YES! But Pricey. Look at the COMPLETE SUPERION, $1200 - $1300, depending on where you got it. The 5 FT Dinobots, over a Grand. The FT Omega $340. The other Companies are not much better. Did I go in? U betcha. Sure, NOT an Ode to G1, but the SIZE! It's a Once in Lifetime. HasBlo won't make anything like this. Their Unicron, which was Awesome, was $500, and Studio was Just as good but cheaper. All I am saying is, if you are on the Fence, don't FOMO, just do it, can always SELL it, someone will buy it locally. I have missed out on things, waffling, only to regret NOT buying it. 48 inches. FOUR FEET of MASSIVE. Guarantee it will put anything else to shame. Good Luck to you either way.

I'm sure i saw a disclaimer on that metroplex on showz. It said that they suggested displaying it in city mode because in robot mode the joints will deform over time due to weight.. Now it's not there..

Toy dojo had it on their site for $1,300. I asked them about it and they said only ordering what they had preorders for. Maybe one or two extras. I passed on it from them and now shows sold out.

As a G1 fan, I don’t mind the aesthetics of this, BUT, if I’m going to drop $1,000USD ($1,700AUD), it’s going to be the LikeToys, or anyone who develops one close to the G1 aesthetic. I live in hope that LikeToys will at least sell their design to someone who can make it work. Also, the video from Mangamotion - or is Magnamotion - show this in scale with Legends figure, so not a true Masterpiece, that would be around 6 feet. Is it too big at 6 feet ? All I can say is, I’d buy a 01-Studio Unicron if it were 4-6 feet tall. I’m sure FansToys will do a great job of Fortress Maximus, but I’ve personally never been a fan of that figure/character. And Mike, it’s always nice to get head, even from FansToys, bahahaha.

Mp scale would be a minimum of 8 feet tall. I've got a Scorponok that tall and with mp figs it still looks small.

Lewin Resources has won a fan in me. From concept to production to shipping, it took only 2.5 years; unlike some other company who only produced a head and held collector's $150 US deposit hostage for 5 years (*cough* Fans *cough* Toys *cough cough*).

I agree that the price of this is very reasonable. I won't be getting it only because I'm not a fan of IDW for the most part - if this was G1 Metroplex and I liked the overall look, I would absolutely go for this at the listed price. I'm hoping that the price of figures like this helps to keep the FT Fort Max at a reasonable price, similar to what occurred with their Omega Supreme. I am genuinely excited for those that are getting this because this figure will be historical and I can hardly believe how real this is...

1:17 funny cuz I was just commenting about these Lewin Prime & Cap America deco on a TF seeker vid about 2-days ago. A benefit of that lewin is that it's scaled with 1/12 figs (i.e. Marvel Legends, GI Joe Classified, etc.) I think when those Lewin Primes first came out, they were about $230 on ebay, and this was when they did those flash sales that could be up to 15% off any purchase. I'd have to double check my purchase histories, but I think it was around the time the Weijiang Omega Supreme decos were out around the same price.

@tydiriumhanger1320 the OSKO MPP10 & MMP10 look nice with M.A.S.K. sized figures, since those bots are about the same scale as MP01, which was 1/24 scale in truck mode. For 3.75" figures, the Pangu optimus is probably the best option.

I was one of the first to get the Lewin Resources Prime, and was very impressed until after 2 years it collapsed at the ankle and toppled over. There is a thin hollow plastic tube part like a section of a drinking straw at the ankle, that weakens over time. It's the only part connecting the foot to the leg at the ratchet, and posing it off straight up and down meant it was weakening over time until it snapped under the weight. I haven't preordered the metroplex, i believe they will create a Skorponok and that would suit me better. The size is impressive, but the plain white finish means it won't look premium. I would prefer the proportions of an oversized Maketoys Utopia as a premium Metroplex. But I believe an upscaled Skorponok would look better for me. Excited to see everyones thoughts when they get them in 😊

@tydiriumhanger1320 if its standing up and down it's fine, but some arrived in the box with the broken foot. If you search ohmyprimus store with "[IN STOCK] Lewin Resources - LW01 Ultimate Commemorative Edition (Oversize G1 MP Optimus Prime) (USED / Incomplete - broken feet / no box)" you'll see a pic of one they are selling with the broken ankle joint. In the second pic it's looking down on the hollow straw joint so you just see the circle hole. Other than that, the chrome bumper of the vehicle has large sprue marks and missing chrome bits where those were, and the hand had a common hinge fault. But stand it straight up and down it's solid 😊 They come in vehicle mode and basically it's so heavy I think people got them into robot mode and left them there.

It’s cool, and the price is more than fair, but like others have said, I would have preferred a g1 cartoon aesthetic much more. Also, and this is important; I would require a much more complex and interesting transformation for a figure this size, but with the size, an intricate city mode would probably result in a lot of breakages and a much higher price. So, I don’t know if something like this will ever make sense.

While this is cool, I don't have the space for it, heck I have issues considering getting smaller figure due to how much space they will occupy. Also I could never bring myself to spend so much on a toy. Not to mention how this thing is over a meter tall, it will be a hell of a workout to handle it. Besides there's the rumors about how this thing will break if you let it in robot mode for too long, like, for this price, this thing should be able to hold years on some crazy gymnast position, not fall apart from merely standing.

Look at the photos when he's in city mode...those figures on him are legend size figures. If you spend 1000 bucks on the metroplex, you're definitely earned you collector bones... fyi make sure your ass is home when he's on route to your house
