Such an awesome second wave across the board. It really flushed out a broader elite military force. It’s a hard call to choose between 83 and 84 as the best year. With a few exclusions of random things being added from 85/86 you could have the ultimate teams. ❤

PS: the HISS isn’t a tank 😜 But thanks for the memories. My collection is all in a bunch of big boxes in the garage, and the originals in pretty rough shape - we played hard with them. Really hard. We had a good group of 8-10 friends in the neighborhood and lots of land on the outskirts of our city we could wreck stuff 😂. Good times! Too bad kids don’t experience that sense of rugged fun and adventure anymore.

Ow man my dream as a kid, man....I 've been down re-collecting some vintage Star Wars, MotU and G1 Transformers but never went down the G.I.Joe rabbithole of collecting but I loved these figures so, so very much as a kid....Zartan with his sled was my first and so sad my parents just gave all my G.I.Joe, Star Wars and MASK away to relatives.... Gotten over it of course, but still it seems like a too frivoulous action of my mum and dad lol 😂

The raised hq is a really good idea. 👍🏻. I like having extra storage in the same amount of space, not to mention the world-building look of the raised play sets.

The wings are out when the plane takes off. They sweep back when the plane is in the air so there is less drag at high speed.

Very cool video its hard to say if 83 is THE year cuz id say 83-84-85 were the best years in gi joe they had cool vehicles and great characters who came out through those years. As a kid I only one one joe it was a cobra eel that I brought every time I was playing with my friends. My collection really started in 2000 when I found a half completed Flagg and I decided to collect vehicles and characters that I like. 45 vehicles and 135 figures later I can say I have an interesting collection

I love that you're covering these as I still have some of my og Joes. I'm loving classified but can't keep up at the rate they're bombing us with these days so I'm considering going to hiya Toys and their 4" line which has been delayed for so long I don't know what to think but it looks like cobra commander is released and shipping with firefly beachhead and baroness soon to follow or maybe all of the late ones idk but I'd like to see you cover them.

These group of Joe's was much better than the first wave Mike... I remember having a mix reaction with Gung-Ho on how he looked in the cartoon and how skinny looked in the figure version...😁💡

No. The closest thing was probably the Defiant Shuttle Complex which had the shuttle and transport vehicle. There was a Star Force or whatever it was called in the 90's line.
