This is easily the most clear and concise bow-tie tutorial on KZbin. I watched a half-dozen before this one and gave up more than once. I was frustrated with how unclear they were -- especially the difficult step of passing the second bow through the first. Charles, Thank you. That presentation is well done. I've tied the bow tie for more than 24 years. I wore the bow tie while performing in certain venues as a classical guitarist, jazz guitarist, and vocalist. I also wore the red bow tie with the spencer style tuxedo which I often wore in performance, on the day I married my precious wife. I have not tied a bow tie for a few years (recent time span) and decided to practice again, which led to my finding your video clip. I do not recall pulling both ends of the first bow together before inserting the second bow portion of the tie through the opening formed by the cross over. Your addition of that portion is delightful and clever and I will incorporate it in my future bow tying adventures. We have two daughters and two sons. I intend to teach our sons how to tie the bow tie as well. I intend to use your guide as well as my help in teaching them. Best to you, Charles
