I did enjoy it, Davie... =] So, this is the first fly I tied at 10 years old. Same as my dad tied, with white hackle at the front. He tied them because he could see them on the water better (should have had glass a long time before he did). That summer I caught my first trout (two years of fly fishing with no instruction other than watching someone else do it). I had caught one or two creek chubs in those two years, but that's not catching a trout, right Davie? =] Caught that little brown trout on a fly I had tied. A good day. And now a good memory brought back. Thanks, Davie. Mike

Thank you for posting this. The Bivisible is such a fun & productive fly. I hope this video encourages some viewers who haven’t tried it to tie some & try them out. I found them highly effective as a searching fly, especially in fast water.

Davie I need your advice, I’m thinking of buying whiting hackle for the first time. I tie dry flies from size 14 to 20 only . I don’t tie a while lot of flies . Just Wht I need, would u buy a cape or saddle ? And what colour would u mostly use ? I’m thinking grizzly and ginger

Hi David, Both grizzle and ginger are top of my list as they can be used on many patterns and can be dyed as well to tye many more as well so I'll take feathers off just for doing this..I prefer to use saddles though the capes that they do now have feathers that are as long as some of the feathers on some saddles and will tye you many sizes though give the supplier you are wanting to buy from a call or message and tell them what sizes of flies you want to tye and they should be able to help you..I have also attached a link below to the Whiting grading chart for you to see.. All the very best Davie whitingfarms.com/wf_olympic_grading_system.htm
