Hey Mak! This was the first fly I have tied (using this video) that I've ever used in anger. The lake I fished this weekend was really hard going and nobody was catching. I started with a shop bought Diawl Bach but changed to the ODNymph when I got lost in a tree. Second cast and bang! Fish on and landed. The holy grail of fly fishing! I'm still smiling two days later. Cheers!

Such a great pattern Mak! Beautiful tie as allways and a very used fly in my box love the dyed chain idea as its not weighted to much!

Hey Mak! Tied up a couple of damsels in both olive and brown and fished them as a pair - got fish on both colors with a couple more favoring the brown flavor :-) Tight lines! Hank
