Have to tell you how much I enjoy your videos. My mother came from Glasgow (married a Yank she met in WWII) and I have no trouble with your accent. I teach fly fishing and fly tying for Healing Waters (an organization that works with Veterans to help them with PTSD). I have referred many a budding tier to your videos.

Love these patterns that don't require hackle. Keep them coming!!!!

Hi Davie Great idea with the dubbing. I like the way it looks more than a hackle tied in on the post. It just looks more buggy with the dubbing. Great looking fly Thanks for the Great Videos Chance

Hi Davie, Nice fly and well tied, I often find a sugar cube buzzer does very well, especially for the browns so I will have to try this. Keep the vids coming!

@Marlon Tristen I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.

Davie, a great looking pattern. Do you know if tiemco makes a hook similar to the B160 with the short shank and wide gape? And also would you recommend a better flotant than my traditional gink? It leaves a haze on the water when I first put it on, unless I remember to put it on the day before like you recommended when we fished? Thanks for any help you can give. God Bless and can't wait for the next video. Sam

@DavieMcPhail Okay, thank you Davie, keep up the good work! Youre my biggest inspiration for fly tying and also the reason I first started! :)

Davie, Would you ever tie this fly as a cripple or are other patterns better for one? Mike

What hooks do you use for suspender buzzers?
@DavieMcPhail9 жыл бұрын
Hi Chris McCaig, I've used many hooks for suspenders over the years like the Kamasan B170 and the B160, also worth using is the Gamakatsu G-Piont Buzzer Light which is nice and light but also strong enough to last a few fish... All the very best Davie
