Just watched this old video from 2016 Davie. Brilliant pattern. I'll definitely give it a try. Had great success a couple of weeks ago with your bibio cripple midge suspender pattern. That ones definitely a killer. 🎣👏👍

Great video Davie! Your video tutorials are inspirational and a great help to my novice tying skills. I often struggle using cdc as I find that the feathers want to follow the thread and twist around the hook and watching your demonstrations help greatly. Thankyou!

Well, that's just great with the cdc and the tail fibers. It would appear that there is no end to your thoughts on fly improvisation Davie. Simply great stuff from the best there is. Good wishes to you and yours over the festive period. Grayling time for me now but will use this pattern in the new season. Thanks a lot Alistair

Hi Davie, this pattern is amazing! 3 for the price of 1! You teach so many good techniques! I've read about waxing silk to darken it or making it look more like an exoskeleton or bug like and water resistant on a dry but not on modern thread. Nice taper and fantastic winging method. Thank you for everything, all the best regards to you Davie!

If tied on a straight light hook do you think the trout would be attracted to it in a similar way sitting on the surface? I like this pattern and was thinking uni 8/0 for the rib just so it would sit a little more on the surface and I would be able to see it lol, many thanks again Davie 👌

Once again a very nice fly Davie. I like the way the fly will ride at different levels. What is the tail on higher version? It looks to be different material. All the best. Mike.

Great fly as always Davie; what UV flash material did you blend with the hares body dubbing? Looking forward to many more patterns in 2017.
@DavieMcPhail8 жыл бұрын
Hi Brian Salt, There's many UV Dubbing that you could blend in but one of the originals is the Purple Haze Lite-Brite. If you are going to blend it I would recommend cutting it into small lengths of about an inch so that it blends easier into the natural dubbing..I have attached a link to the dubbing for you to see... Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year when it comes... All the very best Davie.. www.fishingmegastore.com/spirit-river-litebrite~2650.html
