Awesome Wulff Martyn! Love the yellow squirrel tail wing & tail and not posting the wings. What's "dyed WOIGO"? Most of the Wulffs I tie are Fran Betters' Ausable Wulff and changing the body and wings for the Royal, etc but keeping the woodchuck guard hairs for the tail. In fact that seal looks a lot like the Australian possum he used, at least how he dubbed it, spiky -buggy. I don't know what it was but there were a few mayfly duns on my porch a week or so ago. If you said vulgata they could have been but vulgata wasn't in my hatches of NYS guide. They were about 15 mm long with veined wings. I googled vulgata and the habitat fits, I have a small creek on the property and beavers have dams in the area. And I've observed the same swarming activity in the past right in my backyard. Last night a trico was on my counter :o) They're attracted by the porch light, must have hitched a ride with me in the house. Thanks Martyn, great tutorial and tying as always!

Thanks Joe, WOIGO is West of Ireland golden olive - it's that orangey yellow olive on the hackle. Cheers
