I was talking about manipulating material generally. I have been the videographer for my Fishing club for a number of years and am constantly reminding guest tyers to lower their hands in front of the vice so that the viewers can see what they are doing.@@flickingfeathers

@@dougbrien9836 Yes so was I, but the wing is the only thing that would be done off-fly for this pattern which is why I mentioned wings specifically. I don't think being a videographer for a club and being able to control filming independently of the tyer at a club tying night is quite the same as what I'm doing here in limited space and a DSLR with a macro lens which restricts framing and DOF-even stopped down f16. It's not just as simple as putting my hands in front of the vice as I would when teaching a class because It'll usually go out of focus. Believe me, it's something I think about and have considered before. I will on occasion make multiple videos to edit together if it's something particularly complex, but there's a limit to how much time I can spend on each video as I'm doing this between work and tying orders.
