Love this knot, its the smallest knot I know & is great for surf fishing for the smaller skiddish fish. Brought in 2 stripers 23 & 26 inches with this diminutive little knot.

I still prefer the Alberto knot. I accidentally snagged a full grown seagull and I was able to lift from the water to the pier I was fishing from. The leader was a P-line 10lb fluorocarbon leader to a braided mainline. I was shocked that it didn’t break and I was now get my lure back and the bird flew off after got the hook out.

the alberto knot is best for light lines. sometimes i also use the alberto knot on a 20lb leader if i want faster action

I want to see the knot pass through the eye of the tip under more pressure as if you were reeling a fish.

I only use this knot for light lines around 15lb and under. Anything heavier is likely to get caught on the top ring.

This is the knot i used for my setup using lines 6lbs n below.

@pescadorestamora For 10lbs n above, I used the another knot from your video. I think it is call the Yucatian knot.

Using 8lb daiwa 8x grand and 6lb seaguar fluro and the Yucatan is literally 1/4" long with 20 wraps

@@toemaz3751 you use fine lines, of course it makes the yucatan very smooth
