With this fly, there is little air resistance, and I can cast it to the spot I want. It is a durable fly that is easy to tie even for beginners, and I think it is an excellent small fly. 😊

Davie I know you said in the video as to it does not matter as to your dubbing color . I am new to tying flies since December 26th of 2017 and I am looking for new flies to tie and I loved this video it seemed so simple to tie. But can I use orange, red, yellow(gold), pink , purple I list these colors as to being a little bit easier for me to see.(hi-viz) . Thank you again great video and I did subscribe!
@DavieMcPhail6 жыл бұрын
Hi Stephen, The best colours to use for flies like this would be yellow, most greens/olives, brown, grey, most shades of these colours from light to dark though red would work at times as well..Thank you for subscribing and I wish you well with your new hobby which I know you will enjoy especially when you start to catch fish on your own flies... All the very best Davie...

I'm looking for a good small dry fly for grayling in October, fishing northern German creeks, that are not very fast and have pretty clear but brownish water. Lot's of agriculture here. We have grayling, but they are hard to catch. This one seems pretty good for that purpose, what do you think? Thanks again for your great flies. I'm a huge fan of your flies and videos! All the best from Hamburg Stefan
