tying the slipper teaser rig for sea-trout

i use this rig in areas where the swims can be a little weedy and i dont want the lure fouling on the bottom if ive hooked on the dropper, this will also work for the bass guys too

you can tell its my close season cant you lol!! the magnus and polar magus are pretty dam good despite there gawdy looks lol, i saw this rig on a danish channel a few years back and have used it quite a few times, its a lot less tying to set up and in march on the beach thats better for my cold fumbley fingers lol thanks for watching my friend 👍👍

Looks like a deadly combo. Done well on the smaller Delta eels in the 2 inch size as a teaser for all saltwater species.

Had pollack take them every cast in preference to the larger lure at the end of the leader. White or Pearl seem to be deadly. The only problem I've encountered is the rubber body can slip down the hook when casting. This is worse on a fly rod but a bit of whipping and epoxy on the hook shank cures this. Slide the eel body down ...quick whipping with any old thread on the shank close to eye....coat with glue or epoxy and slide rubber body back up. Much neater job than trying to whip over rubber body itself.

the added weight from the swivel would help the leader unfurl at the end of the cast and reduce tangles a bit, no dramas mate glad you enjoyed it 👍👍

yeah mate, the tazzies are pretty good, mention them on my line thru video at the start, good for a big tide but there mustard to cast in any sort of wind but there originally a trollin bait anyway so they werent designed to be aerodynamic
