Tyler Hood is the winner of the Gems in the Rough contest 2021, brought to you by our friends-in-cameras, Gems On VHS. Tyler's submission video stuck out because his songwriting was deeply honest but also because he was in a john-boat in a creek, in the winter.
It took us longer than we expected to get him out West but we are so glad he could join us in Wyoming. This video was shot at the Wyoming Territorial Prison, the only place to ever successfully hold Butch Cassidy. You can visit this spot just about any day and it is well worth your time.

What a marvelously written tune. You don’t get these songs very often anymore. At least not on the radio which I tend to avoid. Song writing ain’t for most people I’ll say that right now so please don’t ever feel like just have average talent.
