Corey and Meagan were both phenomenal, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time!!

I loved it 💕 we all just going to keep watching and talking about Tyler Perry's movies, good or bad. Very proud of Cory. New fam here

I completely agree we will be watching whether good or bad !

As a black man, I can’t watch him continue to lie to Black women in order to “uplift” them while profiting off their pain and tearing down black men in order to do it. I’m a black man actor and writer from Louisiana. Tyler used to be my only inspiration. Now I see him as a black man profiting off of the foolery and pain of the black people.

Tyler Perry is basically making the same movie but now it’s rated r lol.

New subscriber here 👋🏾 I agree I felt that Corry’s acting in the movie was my favorite. The movie to me was not very original but not terrible. Definitely not meant to be funny but was in my opinion. Great and detailed review sir.

Thanks for subscribing Lamont and yes some parts you couldn’t help but to laugh 🤔😂. But I did enjoy Cory’s acting for sure

I'm trying to figure out what was the deep animosity that Dallas had with Ava in the first place? I mean, I understand being mad at the pastor for saying that stuff at the funeral but what did that have to do with her? Like WHY was he treating her like that in the first place? No one asking this.
@TheLawrenceReportАй бұрын
Right exactly! Honest he been wanting to get out of the marriage for a long time and the funeral was the tipping point
@tribehead09Ай бұрын
She was the pastors daughter…. And told Dallas’ family to let pastor do the service when they didn’t want to…. They felt she set them up… plus Dallas is clearly unhinged
@BlissfulBundlesgiftshopАй бұрын
@@tribehead09 I understand the funeral aspect. But his animosity came off as if it started way before the funeral situation.
@Stayingfocused242Ай бұрын
He said in the film that she was always trying to change him instead of accepting him the way he was....he resented her for that. To his family it seemed like she thought her family was better than them.

Did anyone hear the Dallas killed his father and he sing his father beating his mother this is where his attitude and his mental attitude came from
@calvthomas6153Ай бұрын
To me, it was nothing but a bunch of needless violence and profanity to cover up a lackluster story line. I really believe that TP only writes movies to center around the actual name of the movie instead of the other way around, because the name of the movie is all he has, in order to catch the audience's attention. After that? Nothing🤣🤣🤣.
@TheLawrenceReportАй бұрын
lol yes he wants to grab your attention for sure
@DanielleGillmoreJohnsonАй бұрын
Yep. It seems like he's about shock value but not substance.
@spr6986Ай бұрын
People praise TP a little too much. I mean I love he gives black actors/actress good opportunities.... however if you thought this movie was good Im questioning ur judgement.
@TheLawrenceReportАй бұрын
Right the good thing is he does give other actors of color a chance !

I challenge you to think of a movie recently that captured your attention like this movie - and has our community talking. I’m a movie lover and yea this movie was hilarious! Maybe try to look at it like a comedy if you watch it again.. but Hollywood throws millions to movies that are engaging and I can’t wait til they end.. this TP MOVIE don’t have me feeling like that, and I would say I’m a pretty stable minded person. I’m not crazy 😄
@TheLawrenceReportАй бұрын
@@AnaAcuraErica lol yes our community is still talking about this movie .

It was ok. Dallas irked me to death. I felt like he wrote it with her in mind because of her divorce. I just felt for her but maybe this movie was healing her in a sense. I totally forgot Corey went thru a divorce recently as well. I liked the Kelly Rowland one better than this one tho. That beginning scene was insane tho!! 😮💨😮💨😮💨
@TheLawrenceReportАй бұрын
Yes I couldn’t stand Dallas either ugh 😩

This movie was terrible. The dialogue was so cringe, the direction was clunky...I just don't understand why he won't do better

WAY BETTER than Mea culpa; at least in this one , we had good , positive , healthy black families. I am referring to Ava's parents and Rona's couple (the bestfriend). In Mea culpa, we had NOTHING !
@marclynch8059Ай бұрын
The first 60 minutes were very good. Logical and consistent with good set up and payoffs. I only found one hole: the photograph that was taken of Megan and her new love interest at the carnival. TP didn’t show who took the photo, but in the next scene, the dialogue explained that it was Dallas‘s brother who took the photo and sent it to him. From 60 to 90 was somewhat repetitive without any interesting surprises and somewhat predictable.
@marclynch8059Ай бұрын
From page 90 to the end and the final battle between Megan and Dallas, it was somewhat predictable but necessary for a suitable climax.
@marclynch8059Ай бұрын
The entire cast was very good. The woman who played Dallas‘s mother who ordered the body to be taken out the casket was a stand out.
@marclynch8059Ай бұрын
TPs films follow the soap opera template-“stories” that’s why they seem one dimensional and predictable.
