I actually think Tyler Perry is talented, and it's a shame he coasts by on so many generic Madea films. But then again, I can't imagine a pop-culture landscape without Madea! So there you go. I guess I gotta show the OG 'Diary of a Mad Black Woman.' Totally unrelated, but I just want to say I love you, guys and have been watching since early 'Spill' days in the 2000s. He could be mentoring a whole new generation of black writers and producers, and nourishing new black talent but instead he goes for the cheap route, allowing his ego to win and leading him to believe he can do 90% of what's involved in film production. The black community has made this man into a multi millionaire and instead of using his riches to grow and strengthen black Hollywood and investing in black talent, he only has to worry about paying himself. It is obvious that he's the only writer because all the plots in these movies are nearly identical: a scorned or abused black woman goes through life obstacles and eventually fights back.

This is by far Tyler Perry's worst movie. It just looks so cheap, and hits every cliche out there. Tyler can't write dialogue for shit. This is most evident in the courtroom scenes where Tyler actually uses a montage to avoid actually writing the needed legal dialogue. It even looks like parts were filmed on the same block that Madea Boo was filmed. Tyler continues his "lightskin men good, darkskin men bad" routine. Horrible wigs, wooden line delivery, and flat two dimensional characters don't even hurt this movie as much as the plot does, which feels like a Lifetime TV movie. I've heard Tyler brag about how quickly he can make these movies, well, it shows.

This comment managed to summarize most of things wrong with TP and his films. I just wish his celebrity circles would really sit him down and have a serious conversation relating these things that I know for sure legends such as Phylicia Rashad can comprehend. He thinks that these are just the thoughts of “haters” but there’s nothing to hate on, his works are purely trash.

Tyler Perry needs to adopt the Blumhouse business model.it would allow for more talent to get a chance to make films, the projects will be cheap, and Perry won't be writing the scripts. I think he just insists on writing out of vanity.

kronos1794 but Perry can shoot a movie in 10 days. (Literally). And he can take a check for writing. Directing. Starring. Producing. And his name in those roles guarantees profit. My wife and I had a good laugh at the movie. His movies/shows are only getting worse and he either doesn't give a fuck or he's delusional. I just wish he'd share his success and allow more talented people to take over the writing and directing of his projects.

Definitely delusional 🤣🤣🤣 What I dislike about Tyler Perry is he bragged about creating his own table but he wants to be the only one at that table. He has zero interest in giving young black creatives an opportunity. When he had writers he paid them peanuts and gave them no benefits. Then, when they joined the writers union he fired them. He should use his resources and fabulous studio to hire writers, directors and producers to create original content apart from him. His narrow minded ideas about how women think and constant insults of intelligence to the Black viewer has gone too far. We are not feeble minded people incapable of appreciating and consuming quality art. Delboy0 I really wish black folks would stop saying Tyler has the biggest studio in the world. That is the utmost farthest statement from the truth. He simply has the most acre-rage because he bought an old abandoned military base. Ain’t sh*t on it but them 10 sound stages he built and a bunch of old dilapidated military buildings including barracks. That’s why all his shows and films are starting to look the same. Tyler is notoriously greedy and cheap, both at the same time. He’s not going to spend one red cent to update and modernize anything. Even in this film, the exterior of the courthouse looked like something straight out of Gunsmoke. I live in L.A. so please believe me when I say that TP Studios has no where near the level of sophistication and technological advancement as the ones in Los Angeles. That’s just facts.
@Delboy05 жыл бұрын
@@serpentine913serp6 Well I was right as I intended he has the biggest studio in the US. Your point about LA studios being more advanced is kinda irrelevant. But I do question why having such a big practice studio when movie making going towards more digital effects. The Mandalorian and Lion King was all filmed on a studio in LA but the movies look like they were on location. But Tyler Perry isn't struggling for money because the majority of the Marvel films are filmed in his studio.

He has more money than I do and he can't hire a writing team and better production? Wow. When I throw together an issue in two weeks because I procrastinated I don't like in the end, even I acknowledge my shortcomings so why can't he?
