What would you do differently? Shelling? Parameters?

Think I would have done half of the first body, mirrored that around the origin. And then done the tee straight out from the origin was well. I'd like to say I would also use parameters as well, but honestly I rarely use them, even when I should. I probably would even have done that first half I mentioned with a revolve now that I think about it.

It would be nice if these challenges had drawings to download, so we could try first, then see your way, and then realize we have not a clue LOL

I come from SolidWorks 2010 background. It's time to move to greener pastures, and Fusion 360 looks a lot more powerful than what I'm using now. I would like to know if you would be interested in doing a series on how to design an RC plane from scratch. There are some videos on how to do this in SolidWorks, but not many videos using Fusion. It won't be easy or short, but I hope you can see the attraction of such a project for makers.

I didnt know you can resize the orange square representing the plane. I would have sketched it from the center, extruded one side and mirrored the body for the top.

Why not do as you illustrated in your video about 'Avoid this mistake'? You can easily do this T-shape from one sketch, a revolve, and an extrude.

I know it is two years later, but I am trying to do this and when I try creating the circle off the first offset plane, I cannot get it to snap to the center of the first extruded circle. The little blue icon doesn't even show up. Any ideas?

Love your videos, i would love to see from a 2d Hand draw on paper ( Take a photo with ruler ) and bring that photo into f360 to build a 3d model... - how to import image and resize canva with good length(with ruler in imagine to help) - how to use image in backgroud to help make the lines etc...

Thanks Tyler! I just tried a similar construction to test a theory. Instead of cutting the holes in the tubes I selected all three faces and used the shell function. Can you tell me, are there any pros/cons to using cut vs shell? Shell seems more efficient, but I'm new to CAD.

Terrific way to do that. I don't think Fusion can do mulitple shelling thicknesses so i you wanted different sized holes you would want to use a sketch and extrude cut.
