Iredecence = shift from one colour to another with a base coulor that doesn’t change. Holographic = full spectrum from red to purple and can sometimes have a base colour. All snakes have holographic belly scutes and some such as sunbeam snakes or rainbow boas are holographic.

Sadly the only snakes you can own legally in Brazil are boas, I wanted a ball python but since I can't get one without contributing with illegal traffic I will not get one. I will have a rainbow boa tho, I live in their natural habitat so humidity isn't a problem and even if he bites me I'll still love my holo noodle son ❤

Hog noses can give a reaction if you let them chew on you or if you are allergic to the venom. They are rear fang so it does take a lot for to nab you. I have a friend who has been chewed on by a hog nose and had to go to the ER because of having a reaction.

I recommend a simple bioactive vivarium for snakes with neurological issues. Just a good bioactive substrate (I recommend Arcadia Earthmix) with leaf litter and two species of isopods, one species of springtail and worms. Little to no care for cleaning so only humidity and water is required.

What's cool about the venom delivery method of hog noses is that they have rear fangs which require them to chew on the prey and work it to the back of their mouth just to be able to deliver a dose of venom. So even if a person is bitten by a hognose, unless you let it gnaw on your hand or they get a narrow part at just the right angle (like if they bit a finger head on) it's likely you'll get out of the bite before the fangs get to you. This is so cool because it's very different compared to fixed fangs or hinged fangs. Hinged fangs like the sort you see on rattlesnakes and vipers fold back but spring forward to the front when they strike. Fixed fangs are just like they sound, they just stay at the front of the mouth ready to go. Snakes are so cool man. Don't know if I'd ever want a pet snake, definitely not a venomous one (unless it was rear fanged), but personally I'm more into spiders tbh. Maybe I'll get a ball python eventually one day, those guys are so cute. Main reason I don't know if I'll ever want a snake is I don't think I could deal with feeding it if it refused to eat prekilled. A friend of mine recently got a spider ball python with a neurological issue. But she adopted her as an adult snake and the snake needed a home BECAUSE of the issue. I'm sure she wouldn't have bought a snake of that morph from a breeder for ethical reasons. My friend already has experience with ball pythons and so was able to provide proper care for her. Luckily the issue just makes her a bit clumbsy at the moment, hopefully it won't get too worse. She's such a gorgeous snake! It's a shame that those guys tend to have those issues. Such gorgeous animals! Thanks for showing us your collection!

Iridescence (also known as goniochromism) is the phenomenon of certain surfaces that appear to gradually change colour as the angle of view or the angle of illumination changes. Examples of iridescence include soap bubbles, butterfly wings and seashells, as well as certain minerals. I'd say youre right, shes beautiful!

I believe the bcc/bci is all different now. Boa constrictor constrictor is seen as the true red tailed boa. What was boa constrictor imperator (subspecies of boa constrictor) has now been separated into their own species so has been reclassified as just boa imperator, so now no longer a red tailed boa and instead called a common boa. Then you get the different localities of boa imperator (common boa), some like the Nicaraguan are classed as dwarf common boas but are still boa imperators. They like to make it confusing 😂 I have a boa imperator baby and he’s lovely, people say they can be a bit snappy as babies but mine never has. I suppose every individual is different :)

When I bought my spider ball python, I was completely unaware of the neurological issues they could have. Thankfully though, Pancake is an amazing eater, he is so sweet, and he hasn't shown any signs at all of any detrimental mental health. I love him with all my heart. All your snakes are amazingly beautiful!

I love love the rainbow boa. I had one years ago and I was in love. Her colors were amazing and I could watch her for hours. I had her and I had two ball pythons. Snakes are great pets

On reptile amino almost everyone will tell you the best beginner snake are corn snakes due to their easy care and forgiveness to mistakes. They are very hardy and have simple care requirements. They also have tame temperaments and are easy to handle.

Your Brazilian Rainbow Boa is gorgeous, Aphrodite. First word that came to mind was iridescent; beautiful and sorta reminds me of the way something that's holographic looks with the shimmery rainbow colours. 11:00 I've seen wild snakes around my home over the yrs and they look just like Opal. We've always called them Glass Snakes, don't know why though. But they just show up every now and then. Harmless and don't bite I've been told. Love the video & I'm not a snake person. 👍🏻😊

110% think ball pythons are the best beginner snakes. They’re not too hard to care for and the most friendly in my opinion depending where bought. They also have a fairly high tolerance, they do get fairly big and need a large tank when older but it’s not like they grow overnight, they honestly grow slower than puppies. Way slower. If you search asking that question you will get the answer ball python, or if you go to a pet shop and ask. I work at a family owned pet shop and we pretty much only sell ball pythons, they’re so great. I’m wanting to get one we have right now but he’s a bit pricy... well over $300! He’s black and silver and has the most badass pattern lmao.

i have an ember ghost morph ball python, and he’s a really pretty boy, he’s a pale yellow with brown markings, and the markings fade to almost white in the center of them! i love his yellow color, and his head is almost grey. he’s a really nice looking snakw

BCC and BCI have been reclassified as separate species, and are now just BC and BI. BIs are common boas, not red tails at all.

*Holo* is when where the light is hitting it, it’s rainbow and if you move the light around, the rainbow will follow *multi-chrome* is like holo but instead of rainbow it’s a change between 2 or 3 different colors, like orange green and yellow. *I didn’t really see Aphrodite‘s shift but I know opals in holo*
