I have a 12 by 16 foot loft that is 7 feet tall. I currently have 16 Pigeons and I love them. They are all racing homers though I don’t race them. You are correct on everything you said and with the dust, I all my birds to bathe every day and this helps with dust and feathers. The feathers for the most part get trapped in the water whenever the they bathe. I also have unlimited access to grit and oyster shell.

I just got the opportunity to hold a crestie for the first time ever. I struggle to describe what it felt like, but it was like holding a little suede bag of cold fine sand that was a little gritty on the outside. Very interesting sensation.

my hahns macaw bit he dremel during a beak trim at the vet- it made his beak bleed, and cut his lil cheek. He was so sad the entire evening, and overnight started plucking his feathers. Its been 2 years and he hasnt stopped. He now plucks his belly, his shoulders, his pants, under his wings and around his crop. We've done a head to toe work up at 2 different vets, xrays, swabs, blood tests- and its behavioral. Its so hard as an owner of a wild creature that deserves so much better- I happy that you are letting others know that its not always neglect that causes plucking!

Thank you for sharing your jaw surgery journey with us. You look and sound amazing! It’s evident that your orthodontist and surgeon did an exceptional job. Additionally, it’s clear that you followed your post-op instructions diligently, as reflected in your outstanding results-congratulations! Orthognathic surgery is a significant commitment and not an inexpensive one, so it’s inspiring to see your positive outcome. Like you, I had braces as a teenager to correct my underbite. Unfortunately, as an adult, my bite has worsened, leading to both physical and dental issues. I’m scheduled for surgery on May 9, 2025, and I’m excited to move forward with the process. I truly appreciate your openness in sharing your personal experience; seeing such positive results is reassuring. Thank you for your willingness to be vulnerable, and for offering insight that means so much to others like me.

If I put my gecko in an enclosure right away, should I go backwards and out them in a container now or just wait for them to get used to it now?

Are the parrots and the Crested geckos living in proximity to each other? I ask as I have 2 parrots, and considering a crestie, BUT I'm concerned the ocassional VERY piercing shriek from the former could frighten the latter... having read about the propensity to drop tails due to fright from loud sudden noises. Any advice/thoughts would be very welcomed

Omg thank you! First crested and she hasn't eaten since I got her. Put her in a smaller enclosure and she's finally eating as i type!! 💜💜💜💜 I was getting so worried. She lost so much weight. Even when i would put her at the food, she don't know me so she'd panic and jump.
