@@TylersReelFishing that's the hardest lesson I had to learn... I've been cleaning local lakes, taking others fishing for free, etc... and get 1k views a video... BUT the other day someone told me I inspired someone with 200k to clean the same lake I normally visit... And TLDR, God may not use me, he may not even use you sometimes, but the message you're spreading is inspiring the world to save the thing you love, and brother that inspires me!

This is perhaps the most important series of videos you've ever produced. As a fisherman, I find it fascinating and eye opening. I enjoy learning how to catch more fish, but learning how to have more fish to catch... priceless! Normally I wouldn't watch and listen to a couple of people sit around and talk for an hour and 42 minutes, but I do care about the environment and how to do MY part to make whatever fishery I fish in the best and healthiest it can be. As I see other anglers, I can pass knowledge on that way, in a kind and courteous manner. I have also recommended fellow fishermen watch this series of videos. I don't know if they ever did, but I did MY part in spreading the word. I am saving each one and will do a refresher watch on these once every month or so until I can absorb as much of this knowledge as possible. Thanks to you and Steven for taking the time and effort to produce this series. Blessings!

I live in south Louisiana right where hurricane ida hit, I was an offshore fisherman prior and got back to bass fishing right after the storm. From what I hear talking to locals on the bayous we had a major fish kill due to saltwater and oxygen loss. From bass clubs and other fisherman I’m hearing our fishery is in bad shape compared to prior of the storm. Kinda wish LDWLF would change limits to allow fish to recover and reproduce. I am seeing a lot of fingerlings from this past spawn and last year. Hopefully it bounces back.

At my local lake for the past 5 years or so they’ve been adding Tiger Musky. My grandpa having fished this lake for many years before the Tiger Musky started being stocked has noticed that the bass haven’t been thriving like they used too. The smaller and bigger fish have faded out and we’re left with a bag of 3 pounders winning a tournament. We’ve thrown lures mimicking small bait fish at bass spots he once’s fish and the Tiger Musky have seemed to taken it over. I’m not saying there the only reason because a lot of Alewife have died because of bad cold fronts we’ve experienced in the spring but the Tiger Musky seem to of have taken a big part in it from what we’ve experienced.

Im curious about the plants being tansported through breakoffs. usually the drain and dry guidance tells you to let it dry for 7 days. but if i'm understanding, some breakoffs can lie dormant for years? if so, wouldnt waiting 7 days be effectively pointless if you happened to miss even just one little broken off leaf? or worse, something microscopic that you cant even see?

And apparently some people don't understand yoga and meditation. So let me break it down before you make a comment that you have to erase because you realize how ignorant you just looked just like the last fellow did. #1 my God is Jesus of Nazareth. The one true living God. #2 yoga is simply stretching while focusing on your breathing and trying to maximize the range of motion whenever you stretch. #3 meditation is time where you sit quietly focus on your breathing and try to feel your body relaxing. Focusing on every muscle in your body relax. A lot of time when I meditate it starts with a conversation with Jesus and I usually end it the same way. #4 nothing about yoga or meditation is evil. It's simply being in tune with your body. I hope this helps you to understand and know what the two are. Maybe if you feel so uptight that you have to make a rude comment you should give the two a try for yourself. It's only exercises and breathing folks. Don't have a heart attack. 😁. God bless and have a great day my friends.

No competitive fishing should allow barbed hooks.
@TylersReelFishing5 ай бұрын
Why draw the line there? Why not at “graphite rods”? Or at “braided line”? Or at “ball bearings in reels”?
@kevinmabry84225 ай бұрын
@TylersReelFishing because those don't damage the fish. If roughly 30% of fish die after being caught in tournaments(roughly averaged from both cold and warm water tournaments), then tournaments effectively help cull out higher quality specimens by killing off the bigger and best fish each team catches... according to in fisherman, Hooks in mouths etc are one of the most obvious signs of being beaten up during these events. There can be no argument that barbed hooks cause more damage... some of our most amazing fisheries have already banned the use of barbs on tackle... the Boundary Waters Canoe Area being the most noteable. I personally fish mostly barbless all the time to prevent extra damage from poor or deep hooksets and allow for better chances at quick recuperation. Do you really think it a bad choice to have fisherman competing to catch the most and largest fish use less damaging means to catch said fish? One would think that the people who care so much about our sport and fisheries would worry a bit more about the health of the critters they are catching.

@@TylersReelFishing I know I was at that part. I’m in this Facebook group dude and ppl just drive me crazy. They hound on ppl for anything and everything. I’ve literally referred to your last video for them. Now I can do this one too. Like I said I’m fine with doing thing humane. Some ppl just need a hook in their mouth lol

I love that thump from a bass and not knowing how big until you crank down on it. I love that every cast may be the giant you’re hunting. I love the challenge when they’re not biting and those days when they’ll hit anything you throw at ‘em. I love begging them to stay on or don’t jump. What’s not to love about bass fishing?

If you’ve never fished in lakes with pikes… you don’t know the pain… 16” pike biting off my bass lures. Good bye vision 110 on first cast right out of the box to a pike 🥲
