You should do a 100 lakes series where you fish a bunch of lakes in the kayak and the boat!

Man, breakfast on the water? Sold. I was telling my buddy about how people in the south openly but jelly on breakfast things. When I lived in Texas, I got hash browns somewhere and they came with jelly. The sweet and salty combo was fantastic. It’s now a staple in our house now that we live back up north. I just fully retired. Time to get the KZbin stuff together 🤙🏼🤙🏼

i tried fishing in the rain on Monday and overcast skies to experiment how it would be (I wore a poncho and tried staying under the cover of trees). Either the majority of the fish weren't where I was or they just weren't aggressive at all. I felt one tug on my bait and something tried getting my top water frog which it missed, and that was it as far as fishing for the bass went. Couldn't figure it out. I also lost both of my jigs on snags. I'm pretty much done trying to catch bass with jigs as all my catches have been on just soft plastics. I have yet to understand the jig hype.

Love the content and fishing tips. I also like when you compare 2 different types lures to see which one catches more. I have been reading about barbless hooks and thinking of trying it, since I catch and release. It is easier to remove hook and quicker to get the fish back in the water. What is your opinion on it? Maybe you could do a barbed vs bardless with the same lure. As long as the line stays tight, the fish should stay on.
@TylersReelFishing3 ай бұрын
Good luck landing a giant on barbless! I have no desire to take that chance 😂

Hey I have a 7ft med fast rod thats rated to throw up to 1/2 oz, and a graphite reel with 12lb line. I am looking to try a finesse jig. Would that be able to throw a finesse jig or will it not work. (in midwest if that matters)

Yes, that’s good for finesse jig. Not for Flippin or normal jig in any sort of cover. Search “TylersReelFishing jig”, got a video that will help

You have picked up bass fishing at probably the worst time of the year, unless you live in Minnesota or upstate NY. Bites are tough right now, but don’t be discouraged! It gets better in the fall. Learn the drop shot, and weightless caffeine Shad (which I discussed in my most recent hundred ponds episode ) and dont put them down
