Safiya definitely won this. While the cookies and cream is definitely a good idea, the Franken cookie embraces the challenge. Also with the ice cream, y'all were getting different flavors at different points, and not all the flavors were coming through. With the Franken cookie, all the flavors are combined into one.

I'm soooooooooooo happy you guys are posting more videos that are under the 30 minute mark. They're so wonderful for relaxing at lunch time when you're working or just having a wee break after work before you start running around at home, and I love seeing you guys interact with one another but also still showcase all of Saf's beautiful talents, while getting to enjoy Ty both behind and in front of the camera as well. I still like the videos where Saf is in front of the camera and Ty is behind the camera VERY much, no shade! So mostly I don't understand what Saf is comparing flavours to because it's usually something American, but I will say the specificity of the descriptions combined with the ones I do know really makes me feel like this is the only channel I can watch and feel like I know what something tastes, smells or feels like. It's so rare! Even on cooking shows!

Yeah, she's very good at providing her viewers with a good description of what she's experiencing/showing on screen, and I do sometimes wonder if it helps people who are either partially or fully blind. I've seen comments which said that her clear way of speaking helps them because they sometimes struggle with understanding what people say

I think both these methods match well with Safiya and Tyler's individual skills. Safiya is more of a "deconstruct-reconstruct" creator while Tyler is more of a chef and gourmet. That's what I've noticed when they do air-fry or cooking hacks, and Safiya does the pyromancy, knife-skills, and crafting.

On the one hand, the single soggy cookie does have a certain, charming, essential franken-ness to it, but on the other hand the franken-wedding-cake video did set a precedent for both a single blended product (franken-cupcake) and a cumulative effort held together with vanilla (franken-layer-cake). So I don't think the ice cream can be dismissed altogether.

Ty: I think another way to incorporate more of the "flavor" into the ice cream would be to melt the cream into the ice cream base Saf: Maybe baking the cookie and using less butter would've helped with structure, a bit like a cheesecake crust

Usually Tyler is back up to Safiya's lead so it was refreshing to see him come out in the forefront for a change! I had to giggle, I have the exact same knife set and plastic ware the ice cream was put in. Considering that we are not comparing 2 cookies - Saf wins the cookie category and Tyler wins the ice cream category!

I think the reason the soggy cookie works is because that's almost exactly what happens texturally when you dunk an Oreo into milk! Also fat = flavour so I'm not surprised it tasted good 😊

The first thing that came to mind when I saw "Franken Oreo" was that scene from The Nanny where Fran was talking about her new diet program where they only let you have one cookie and she was deconstructing a pack of oreos and putting all the cream on one 😂 I definitely think both ideas for combining were fabulous. Kudos to Tyler for actually MAKING ice cream, that can be a real challenge if not done right. And kudos to Saf for frankening everything BACK into cookie form! Holy schneikies are you both amazing!
