It's amazing to me that they keep doing these iconic songs and they never miss the mark. They always do the original Justice.

Notice the carrot through Layne's head toward the end? I see that the carrot joke between Layne and J.None is still going strong. 🤣

It makes me sad that there are people who have never seen the og Thriller video; it was ground breaking and amazing. Glad I was there when it happened; also glad to still be here to see VP's cover. Have a great week.

@@judithboulden3456 Not a huge fan myself, although I do understand lot of his appeal and do consider him pretty much an icon… Just not for my generation. But you might want to go out and watch the video. It’s pretty amazing especially when you consider that it completely transformed how music videos were made. And it’s pretty darn entertaining in itself. Some of their choices will make a little more sense after watching the video. (Especially J banging on the door- it’s such a horror film device.)

Yeah I was about 23 and my 3rd baby was about 4 months old when MJ's Thriller came out. I LOVED it! I loved making a point of still going out to the clubs for Halloween (I was super into costuming before cosplay even thought of starting!) and dancing the Thriller dance. My kids are now 41 and 47, my middle son would be 44 if he were still alive. Sadly this weekend was the anniversary of his death and it always hits me so hard. But having fun stuff like this helps elevate my mood even though it doesn't change the gut-wrenching sorrow I still feel. But these guys bring me so much joy it really distracts me which is what I need!

The fans/Patrons help out so much for VoicePlay's opportunities to increase their production values! I think this is proven in this video. Look back even a few years and you can see the polish! VP is independent from any recording company because they want to make things THEY WA t to make. What a winning combination...raw talent and a supportive patronage! ❤❤❤

This is absolutely one of the best things they've ever made!

Thanks for the reaction. VoicePlay's releases are always outstanding. Kathy was unrecognizable as "Floor Zombie" and those zombie contacts were freaky. Such fun! Love their carrot through Layne's brain. J was back, so Layne had to have a 🥕!

Epic VP performance! So impressed with the skill and effort they put into each video. Geoff nailed the narration. Halloween season is now officially here!

Geoffs' wife Kathy is the crawling zombie. Her idea. In the BTS video shows Geoff and Kathy shopping at Spirit of Halloween for costumes, prop/set pieces. Rick Underwood did amazing makeup as always.

In the original thriller video Michael Jackson's suppose turn into a werewolf not a zombie but you can put your own spin on it somebody works too and Jeff's doing Vincent Price spot on speaking part. 👍👍👍👍👍
@chelliespiderАй бұрын
Actually, at different points he turns into a werewolf and then into a zombie. It's a whole story playing off movies and dream sequences, lol.

Rick Underwood and his assistant Renette Ferren do makeup and prosthetics when VoicePlay needs them. Rick is also the chief makeup and prosthetics artist for Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights.

Love how they hit you with that wall of sound on the first note!!! Really sets the tone! Love how they all get into acting this out too! The set and lighting...so much attention to detail! They throw comedy in so it's not TOO scary, but it's so freakin entertaining! Vocally it's stellar and the audio engineering is amazing. Love that Kathy was the scary zombie in hideous makeup that bites Layne! Kudos! I love the humor of Layne kicking the zombie off him, and later the carrot through his head. All the acting was hilarious! Another way to keep it lighthearted! The transitional makeup must have made this take forever to shoot! Geoff doing the Vincent Price thing, even the dancing nod to MJ...every single one of them was just so good!!! They get better and better with EVERYTHING they do!

Only Geoff can do justice to Vincent Price’s narrative in this. The whole thing is amazing! If you’re a patron the BTS shows you just how they do all this. It’s amazing what they can do with as a little as they do.

Voiceplay did a wonderful job on this. I will say though that you need to do yourself a favor and watch the full original version. You don't need to react to it but definitely watch it if you have the time. When it came out nobody had ever seen a music video like it. Take care

I have Geoff's haunted laugh as the ring tone on my phone. I scared some people while standing in line at the store! This version is a great homage to the original song with the costuming, the MJ dance moves, and by not over-doing the zombie dance. Geoff's monologue is fantastic!

Geoff’s wife Kathy was not only production manager but also the “floor zombie”. The “stunt zombie” was played by Gruesome Greta from the Halloween store. Rick Underwood, the make up artist, airbrushed her so she more closely resembled Kathy’s makeup. (It’s not like she had a close-up, but they are the masters of a small details. 🤣) I love the part that where J is trying to get out through the door, similar to the original Michael Jackson video. I love how his voice is so tremulous like he’s really scared that the guys are going to get him. Oooops! They did!🤣 🧟😳🎃🥕🤧👻😱🧟♂️ J also released a single, I believe on the same day. He’s performing TGIF Glide with Stefan Salters and some of the VoicePlay family is in the video toward the end when they’re doing the glide. I love how they’re such good friends and want to spend time with each other. J even brought the crazy motorcycle/mini Batmobile apparatus to the studio so the guys could see it. That little contraption is featured in J’s video.
